Tw: i cant think of any but if u see any tell me
Thomas peeled open his eyes, as a yellow gloved hand curled around his chin.
Deceit.
___"De- Deceit!" Thomas' voice was hoarse as he scrambled away. His eyes flickered between an angry green and a calm brown.
Deceit smirked, his yellow eye sharp and intense. "Please, Thomas, call me Diesel." Deceit settled a hand on his hip. "It truly is a pleasure to see you once more."
"Get away!" Thomas yelled. His voice splintered. He could feel his energy was waning, falling, leaving him. How long had I been running? The question in his head echoed in his head.
Deceit- Diesel- smirked, taking off his hat and running a hand through his hair. "Your power is leaving you. I'm not suprised, that was quite the spectacle back there."
His hands shook violently. "No it wasn't."
"Oh, I assure you, it was."
Thomas whimpered pathetically, collapsing to his knees, in the middle of the dusty and deserted road. He glanced at the old forsaken buildings. How did I get here?
"No one lives here. No one here can save you, but that's not true completely," Diesel hummed, lips closed in a sickening smirk. "I want to save you."
His breath hitched. From what? Save me from what?
"Why from yourself, of course." This voice was new. It sounded like breaking glass. He looked up to see a person in a brown vest and dark skin.
Mx. Tol.
"What-?"
"I thought I told you to wait!" Diesel hissed. His voice echoed in the empty place.
"I was bored." Mx. Tol grinned, as they walked toward Thomas and cupped his cheek. "My friends call me Aamon. I hope we can be friends."
"Insanity-!"
"Oh, hush, Diesel. The more friendly we are, the chances of him joining us increase."
"Join you?" Thomas' voice was weak. Trembling. He was scared. He needed Virgil. He needed Logan and Patton and Roman and Joan and-
He needed his mother and father.
His eyes glowed at the small thought of them. Why?
"I think I can explain that," Aamon cooed. "My powers can increase your feelings, as time goes on you will slowly grow accustomed. However, I hope you don't," Ammon whispered, eyes shining, "I did enjoy that show at your home."
"You and Remus are too much, Insanity." Deceit sighed heavily.
"I'm just complimenting him! You don't mind, do you Thomas?" Aamon drew their thumb down Thomas' jaw. "I love complimenting my specimens."
Thomas threw himself backwards. Eyes a sickening green, yet slowly becoming brown. He couldn't fight like this. His power was completely useless.
Deceit moved closer, eyes soft and arms open. "We can be the family you didn't have. We can love you with every growing day. You will be accepted. You will not be a monster or a freak," he leaned close to Thomas, arms still open and eyes still wide with deceiving warmth. "We won't abandon you."
Thomas felt his body lurch into Diesel's arms before he knew he had moved. He wanted this. Needed this.
Among Diesel and Aamon and Remus, he wouldn't be a freak or a monster. They would love him. And they would care for him for forever.
And maybe he could finally be Thomas.
Or maybe it was all a lie.
But his whole life had been a lie. Masking emotions and feelings and never being completely truthful. All terrible lies.
Maybe this lie was just sweeter.
