That Was a Mistake

"Come on Jo!" Alfie screams as I start to run, jumping into the crystal clear pool. The feeling of my dry skin becoming wet and my hair getting soaked in the chlorine. It's going to be hell trying to moisturize it. Another large splash comes from behind me as Eli jumps in as well. Once I surface, I rub the water out of my eyes with the back of my hand and then head to the edge of the pool somewhat struggling to lift myself out. Never said I had upper body strength.

Joe, Zoe's brother, put's down his nearly emptied drink and hops in as well. Zoe sunbaths next to Tyler who is vlogging the four days at vid con. The off camera sits on his lap as he talks with Troye who seems somewhat nervous. His hand is on his forehead covering his eyes from the sun. They're talking about the rehearsal they have to get to in a few minutes. Thankfully, I'm not going to be going on the main stage. I just have a small panel with Tyler, one with Dan, Phil, and a few other YouTubers like Louis and Grace. And I have two signings to go to tomorrow and the third day.

"Do you want to come watch the rehearsal?" Troye asks looking at me from under his hand shield. I shake my head reflectively.

"No. I'm just going to hang around. Catch up with people." They say good bye and I take Tyler's seat next to Zoe. We already had a bit, somewhat over dramatic, reunion. We say each other in the lobby and we ran to each other like they do in the movies; all slow motion. We then embraced and fanned over each other. It was great.

Here we sat in the sun for a good twenty minutes. All the moister from my body had evaporated, making me smell like a pool unsurprisingly. But Zoe had to go and get ready for what ever she had to get to. Alfie was leaving with her as well. Eli had returned to the hotel room. And Joe is off with Marcus or Caspar maybe even both. So I decide to go back to the hotel room to find Eli talking on the phone. His words sounded brief and rushed before he hung up.

"That was Charolette's mother. She says they are having a great time." Dianna has agreed to taking care of Lizzy while we're at Vid Con. I insisted that Eli stayed home but he insisted on coming. Dianna really is a life saver. I nod and go into the bathroom to freshen up and get the smell of pool water off my skin and hair. After I'm done, I get a lovely little surprise in my room.

As I open the door and turn the corner to the rest of the room, I'm met with a wide blue eyed person with black fringed hair with a cat shirt.

"PHIL!"I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist, embracing each other tightly. He is like a furnace on high right now. His chest is extremely warm and being wrapped into him like a burrito is almost like being in an oven.

"How are you?" He asks as we pull apart at the same time. I nod my head with a huge smile on my face.

"I'm fantastic. I couldn't be better. I'm so excited I think I'm going to explode!" We laugh together at the though of my head getting so big it explodes. I imagine a lot of confetti coming out with the explosion and for some reason, I think that Phil is imagining the same thing.

"So, where is Dan?" The fact that Dan isn't here struck me like a ton of bricks. He must have some panel but why would Dan have a panel without Phil. That wouldn't make sense because they are a packaged deal.

"We have a little meeting to go to and they said that we can bring a 'plus one' so Jo, will you do the honors of being Dan and I' plus one?" he says this like a marriage proposal. All formal and over the top. Equally as dramatic, I accept the invitation.

"Be back later!" I call to Eli before leaving with my arm hooked with Phil's. Some how, Phil manages to get us both lost. I don't blame him however, the corridors of this hotel look exactly the same. We thankfully find the elevator to get out of the hotel and into the proper building.
