"Given our recent influx of monsters, Sheriff Donovan and I have decided we need to take drastic action. Please give him your full attention." Alaric Saltzman spoke, addressing his older students.
"Like Dr. Saltzman was saying, local girls Dana Lilien and Sasha Stoteraux didn't come home last night. Dana sometimes skips town for a few days to party, but this is a first for Sasha." Sheriff Matt Dovan stated, explaining the recent situation.
"Thank you, Sheriff Donovan. Now while the knife is away with Dorian and things are quiet on his end, it won't hurt to assume the worst." He continued, "Now, I'll need a few of you to volunteer to go to Mystic Falls High under the guise of an exchange program meant to improve relations between our schools, which, unfortunately, is necessary, given recent events. Now, I give you permission to compel them, to gather materials for locator spells, because any information we can get will make all the difference."
"Well, I guess that I can set aside my differences with Dana for a day because that is what heroes do. So I volunteer as tribute," Lizzie spoke dramatically, standing up.
"She battles one gargoyle, and suddenly, she's Mother Teresa," Hope whispered to Kaiden. Kaiden began snickering, but soon stopped when he heard Kaleb say, "I'm in."
"I'm in too," MG stated, immediately after Kaleb.
Hope grabbed Kaiden's hand, and the Forbes-Salvatore boy tried to ignore the butterflies in his stomach at her actions. His eyes then widened when he realized what Hope was about to force him to do.
"No, Hope. I don't want-"
"We'd like to help," Hope said, ignoring him and pulling Kaiden up with her, much to his displeasure.
"We'll help too," Nova said, pulling her boyfriend up with her. She was still wondering what the hell was going on between those two. Nova had noticed Kiaden's unusual quietness while also noticing how close he had gotten to Hope.
"I'll help too," Victoria added, standing up.
Kaiden's eyes widened when he heard that. He looked down at Hope panicking, "If she's going, shit's gonna go down," he told her.
