The pounding on Alaric's door woke him up, it was then that he noticed a frazzled August.
"August?" Alaric questioned, "What are you doing here? It's late."
August panted, "Kai and I were supposed to meet up yesterday for lunch, but he never showed up. I got worried and started calling his phone, but he didn't pick up. He finally texted me later in the day, all he said was that he was on his way home. I'm worried because my gut is telling me something went horribly wrong, as a demigod I've learned to follow my gut."
"Did he say who he was with?"
"Raf, Landon, and MG. It didn't help with my worry when he said that Raf was with him. He's a wolf, it's the night of a full moon. I called Stefan too, I begged him not to worry Caroline or to call Damon. Hestia knows Kai would kill me if Damon found out he did something reckless. I just know he would find a way to blame Hope or Nova. Nova went home to visit her family's graves and I don't know where Hope was."
"Hope was with me, we went to go find the urn," Alaric answered, "I need to go find Kaleb and call Stefan. I need you to go get Hope, Dominic, and Nova. Do not tell the girls."
"Find the urn?" August questioned, "You lost the urn? How did you do that?"
"Focus, August."
"Okay," August muttered.
It was evident to the man that the boy was worried. Hell, Alaric felt responsible and he hadn't even been around when the boy had gone missing. Stefan would never let him live it down if something happened to his son. But he would definitely get it worse from Caroline, the Forbes-Salvatore woman would end up killing him if her son was harmed.

"So there's nothing you can do?" August asked Nico. The Di Angelo boy shook his head, "I asked around August, no one's seen him in the Underworld. Archer even went to our dad, he had nothing. I've tried but I've got nothing."
August looked like he was on the verge of tears, "Thanks anyways Nico," He noticed Hope approaching him, "I have to go Nico."
"Good luck," Nico said, as August swiped through the Iris Message.
"Have you seen Kai?" Hope asked. It was then that she took in his frazzled appearance, "What's wrong? August, what's wrong?"
"Kai's missing," August whispered, "He has been since earlier today. We were supposed to meet up for lunch but he never showed up. Raf, Landon, and MG are with him."
"But it's a full moon," Hope pointed out. In the distance, they heard a howl, "Oh god."
