After the events of last week, Kaiden had been whisked off to Europe by his mother, much to everyone's displeasure. Lizzie had protested the entire time, her guilt eating her alive. Kaiden didn't understand it but anytime he tried to ask her about it the girl would smother him with love. Josie had been ecstatic that he was okay but Kaiden noticed something was eating at her. MG had begged for forgiveness but Kaiden had assured him that he hadn't done any wrong, it had all been Landon's stupid idea anyways. Landon hadn't even spoken to him since that night, which sure irked Kaiden but they had never been friends, to begin with.

Kaiden wasn't used to being constantly smothered with love, which is what everyone around him was doing. Even his parents were constantly hovering around him, which was okay, that he understood, they had been on the brink of thinking their only son would die, but everyone had a breaking point. As for Hope? From what Kaiden had heard, she had been very close to her breaking point. Nova, after she had smothered him with love, had punched him, and told him everything. He had felt guilty he had even listened to Landon's stupid idea, what if things had ended differently? What if he had died that night? Suddenly, he was brought out of his thoughts by a magical wave hitting him, causing him to land on the floor. On his way, he had taken out Hope's art supplies.

"Hope, wake up," Kaiden pleaded, from where he lay on the floor. He would've gotten up but he truly didn't want to get hit by another wave of magic or land on Hope's art supplies again.

"Oh, my God. Kai, are you okay?" Hope worriedly asked, as she sat up. The Mikaelson girl had worldlessly and not so subtly checked Kaiden over for any potential injuries.

"Well, I did die a week ago, but other than that I'm fine," Kaiden muttered. He ignored the glare Hope sent his way at the mention of his death.

"What happened?"

"You were having a nightmare. And then you screamed and some magical wave thing hit me, and now I have art supplies where no man should."

"Man?"

"Ouch. I'm hurt. In fact, I'm deeply wounded," Kaiden snickered as he stood up.

Hope laughed as Kaiden laid back down at her side. Neither of them knew when their relationship had changed to what it was but they weren't complaining. As they were quickly learning, sometimes they didn't need words to express how they were feeling, they just knew it.
