Blue eyes narrowed to a glare as he opened the bedroom door of the child he swore to risk his own life to protect, Calum had always been difficult to keep tabs on even as they were growing up together; he would always find some way to break the rules or escape Luke's line of sight.
The two had come to an agreement when Calum had turned sixteen that he could have his own room separate to Luke's, granted the blond had the bedroom right next door but Calum still had his own space where he could express himself freely.
Luke trusted Calum to not make stupid decisions but to say he was mad seeing the brunet tangled in the arms of a ghost would be an understatement. The blond could feel his blood boiling as he pulled open the blue curtains calmly, not wanting to show any emotion other than the calm and blank expression he usually possessed.
A slight grunt was heard from the tangle of limbs as the blond turned to face the pair who had now separated from the pile and were both sitting upright with the blankets pooled around their waists.
"Luke, what are you doing? You knew I had someone over!" Calum's anger was quick to surface due to the interruption of his sleep and the rudeness of his bodyguard.
"I need to speak to you. Alone." Luke's calm voice was laced with a tone that Calum hadn't heard since the young brunet had ran away with his friends.
"I'll be back." Calum smiled at the tired hitman who merely nodded and laid back down only to fall straight asleep again. A frown made itself comfortable on the brunet's face as he followed his friend into their shared bathroom, "what's going on, lu?"
"You're sleeping with a Ghost. I've told you that you can't trust them." Luke explained as he kept his calm, brown eyes rolled in response as he let the blond continue his rant.
"Ghosts are completely insane, they're addicted to power and being able to get whatever they want because laws don't matter to them. They're extremely dangerous and psychotic and if they meet you they'll kill you just because they can."
"Michael isn't like that." Calum pointed out as a frown settled on his face, he didn't like the accusations his friend was making considering this was the first time in years he had met someone that wasn't double his age and just wanting to fuck him.
"How do you know he isn't in it for the long run. For all you know he could be buttering you up for the kill. He could be manipulating you because he loves that sick twisted game." Luke spoke with a tone that sent chills down the brunet's back as he started second guessing everything Michael had told him.
"Luke please, I think-"
"No, you don't think. I think, you do. You don't think things through properly and that's what causes you to end up in trouble." Luke scowled only for Calum to glare in return.
"Fuck you. I don't want you near me, I wish you could just leave me the fuck alone." Calum growled lowly as he gripped the door handle of the bathroom door.
"I'll keep my distance." Ignoring the glare sent in his direction, the blond made his way to the kitchen to make the three of them cups of coffee.
The frown never left the young man's face as he made his way to his wardrobe, his mind was racing with all the possibilities of the hitman's intentions.
"You good, Cal?" The hoarse voice startled the brunet as he was quick to discard the negative thoughts, a smile made its way onto his face at the nickname that rolled off of the muscular man's tongue.
"Uh yeah, just a slight argument with Luke. Nothing special." He smiled brightly at the older man who made his way out of the bed with an over the top yawn.
