A harsh hiss caused the black haired man to stir from his haphazard slumber as the hiss was joined by his phone vibrating harshly with notifications from whoever decided to email him at such an inconvenient time.

Red comforter was thrown off of his body in disgust as he picked up the phone aggressively, ready to throw it at the wall if it was his father figure trying to contact him.

Eyebrows furrowed as he saw they were all from the same person who had been contacting him for months, he had never met this person called L but he wasn't sure he wanted to with how aggressive he was in the emails.

The requests for the hitman's services had turned from pleas to demands as they had begun threatening to kill the man if he didn't kill whoever the brunet was.

Dropping his phone on the bed, he decided to ignore the death threats as he ran his hand over his face. "I really can't be fucked doing anything today, Sweetheart. What do you think?"

Harsh hisses were sent in his direction as crisp knocks interrupted their conversation, his head snapped towards the front door as he saw the shadow of a short man knocking on his door. The gentle click caused the short man to step back as he peered up at his neighbour, "hiya! Just thought I should check in, I haven't seen you in a few months."

"I've been at my boyfriend's house a lot." Michael lied easily as he stared down at the entrancing hazel eyes, the feeling of Sekiro tightening around his arm snapped him back to the burning reality of the man that stood in front of him.

"Can I come in?" the smooth voice relaxed Michael as he stepped to the side to let Ashton inside, a bright smile was painted on the curly haired male's face as he waltzed passed the taller male; letting his talon like fingers drag across the black haired man's chest as he walked into the living room. "So who's your boyfriend, Ace? I feel like we haven't caught up in ages."

"He's mine." the answer was short and vague causing the neighbour to spin on his heels and press his hand to the man's forehead, a wave of dizziness hit the Ghost like a truck as he stumbled over to his armchair only to fall into it with a dazed expression.

"You sure you don't want to tell me?" Ashton coaxed as he watched the snake make its way around the older male's neck in a protective manner, green eyes fell closed unable to keep his heavy eyelids open.

"Calum." The soft murmur almost went unheard as the hazel eyed male glared at the snake, he wanted so badly to just kill the damned thing but the bond between the one he loved and the wretched pest was too strong for him to pull apart.

"You don't want him, you want Ashton. You want to kill Calum." the twisted smile stretched across his face as he watched the man become uncomfortable with the statement. Hazel eyes locked onto the beady yellow that stared him down as he noticed that her hissing was keeping Michael more conscious then he liked.

As green eyes began to open slightly, Ashton pressed the palm of his hand against Michael's forehead again before grabbing Sekiro by her head; clamping her mouth shut to stop her from hissing. "I want him."

"No, you hate him. You want him dead."

"Ashton, dead."

"No, you moron! Calum needs to die." The harsh growl caused the traumatised hitman to curl in on himself, preparing to be beaten until he couldn't walk. He no longer felt safe in the red house, Sekiro had disappeared and he felt as if he was sixteen again when Louis had used this same living room for training him to become a fighter.

Louis never wanted a kid, he wanted a fighter; a monster he could control and unleash onto those who did not obey his rules. Harry had prevented the beast from being created, he wanted a child who cared for the world like the world cared for him, he didn't want the child to be violent and aggressive like his father; all he wanted was a kind and caring son.
