Children of the Moon (A Halloween Special)

Ever, Chad and Ithan were all heading downtown for a Halloween themed pub crawl. Chad and Ithan had a long week of exams and Ever had been dealing with stress from her other college not dropping her classes when she told them she was leaving. She had dropped her classes, but the school never went through with it. The three of them needed a break and a Halloween pub crawl seemed to be the best option, considering the drinking age was eighteen.

The three weren't sure what to go as, but Ever had gotten a great idea after watching her favorite series 'The Moo. Phase Trilogy'. "Guys, why don't we go as vampires and werewolves!" She exclaimed.

Ithan grinned, but Chad froze when he heard the idea, "Um...sure," he replied uneasy.

Ever raised her brows, "You okay, Chad? You seem a bit on edge," she commented.

Ithan sighed, "He's fine, Ever. He is just afraid of werewolves," he snickered and Chad glared at his best friend.

"I am not. I'm just a little weary of the idea. What if there are actual werewolves and vampires out there tonight? It is a full moon and I know werewolves shift tonight," Chad mentioned.

Ever looked at him like he was nuts, "Chad, they aren't real. They're mythical creatures that were made up to scare kids," she told him with a giggle. "You can't be scared of something that we know doesn't exist."

Chad gulped hard, "Alright...fine. We can go as vampires and werewolves. But I am going as a werewolf," he gave in and glanced over to Ithan and Ever. "So, do we have costumes ready, or do we have to go get them?"

"Well, we can use old clothes and make some rips in them to make it look realistic," Ever suggested with an excited smile. "I also have some fangs we can use too!"

Ithan grinned and then realized something, "So Chad if you're going as a werewolf, that means I'm a vampire. Ever, are you gonna be a werewolf then or...?" He ran his hand through his dark hair intrigued.

Ever thought about it for a moment and smiled, eyes filled with excitement, "I was thinking a werewolf since...Chad and I ar--" she was cut off by Chad's squeeze of her shoulder. "Actually, I'll go as a girl who is a newly bitten werewolf. I think that would be fun," she smiled.

Ithan looked between the two with raised brows, "Am I missing something here?"

"Nope, not a thing!" Chad covered up a little loud before running to his room to figure out what he was going to do next. Ever swiftly walked after him and Ithan shrugged and went to his own room to get ready. "Just stay calm and everything will be fine," Chad convinced himself.

"Why wouldn't everything be fine tonight, Chad? What are you so worried about?" Ever asked with a concerned expression revealed on her innocent face.

Chad looked in the mirror he stood at, seeing Ever in the background. He noticed he was already becoming subtly hairier, but he could tell Ever didn't notice it, "It's nothing, E. Do you mind helping me with the clothing part of my costume? I have the makeup and look down for the werewolf," he answered with a chuckle, trying to cover up the shakiness in his voice.
