Chapter Ten

Ever sat in the corner of the basement in the fetal position, Titan sitting next to her calmly resting his head on her knees. She heard her phone go off for a text and Andrea read it quickly. "Alright Ever, we are getting you out of here and we are bringing your brother and Titan. Got that?"

Titan barked in approval and he went to go get Logan from where ever he was hiding. Andrea quickly packed up a few things that they had brought from her room to the basement for sleeping and grabbed Ever's favorite blanket. It was a tie blanket of her favorite series. The characters were an animated style for the blanket, similar to Disney style. Andrea wrapped her up in the blanket, since she was shivering.

Titan came rushing down the stairs with Logan slowly behind him. It looked like he had fallen asleep and was clueless as to what was going on. "What's happening? Why are mommy and daddy fighting again?" Titan went back over to his owner and stayed by her side.

Andrea bent down to Logan's level and looked into his bright blue eyes, "Mommy and daddy are having a disagreement. They will work it out, but the four of us are going out for a bit, just to get some fresh air. Okay?"

"Okay," Logan replied, rubbing the sleepy sand from his eyes. "I'm going to get my blankey and Mr. Grumpy Claws."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"Yes pwease."

Andrea guided Logan upstairs and Ever stayed in the basement with Titan. Chad and Ithan walked through the door when Andrea helped Logan to his room and they made eye contact, "Ever is in the basement in the corner with her pup Titan. He will help you bring her outside. He should have his vest next to him, it needs to be put on him, so others know not to pet him." she instructed.

The boys raised their brows in question, but headed down to the basement anyway. They saw the scene and Titan snarled a bit, not wanting anyone he didn't know to hurt his human. "It's okay, Titan. We are here to help her." Ithan told him. Titan looked at the boys and noticed Chad from before. He whimpered and stepped away a bit for them to take her.

Chad picked her up with the blanket still wrapped around her and Ithan put the vest on Titan. Ithan grabbed the duffle bag that was on the floor and Titan followed close behind Chad. They all headed up to the living room and Logan was waiting for them to come back up.

Andrea was in the kitchen writing a quick note saying that they would be back later. The arguing still could be heard, but music could be heard as well, to drown it all out. It was coming from Ever's parents room, which was at the back of the small, three bedroom house. "Go to the truck, I'll meet you there in a minute." she instructed.

Chad nodded and took everyone to his truck. Titan grabbed his leash and let Logan hold it to guide him to the car. Ithan was the last one to follow, making sure no one got lost just going to the truck. It was dark and he just wanted everyone to be safe.

Andrea finished up what she was writing, put it on the fridge and left, slamming the door shut. She was always one to make a statement with door slamming. She got to the truck and sat in the back with Logan in between Ithan and her. Ever sat up front with Chad, silent and curled up, tears falling from her eyes. Titan was at her feet, licking her ankles. "Let's go."
