Yoongi POV
I had trouble keeping my eyes off of her and Jimin dancing. They moved like water, so graceful and fluid. I'm not sure which choreographer they had, but they made a damn good decision giving Sun-Hi this solo.
"It's your center of gravity that's off, I can feel you shift to the left. You have to focus on your core when you jump." Jimin said as he held out his hands to assist Sun-Hi in the aerial flip they had been practicing over and over again.
She nodded and got ready to try it again.
"I can see why you like her so much. She's really nice." Taehyung said.
"She is." I agreed.
"She's talented too. I've never met someone who has that same specific style of dance that Jimin has. It's impressive, they look really good dancing together." He continued.
They did, it was like something magical to see them dancing her choreography together. I was almost angry at Big Hit for making her so upset about debuting and for not being considerate of her anxiety. She was a gem; they should do everything to make her want to stay with us.
I kept staring at her. I'd seen her perform live of course; I'd even seen her do this solo through facetime. But this was something different entirely, she was fully in her element right now. This was what she was meant to do.
I wanted to show her off to everyone, to the boys, to the world. I wanted to tell everyone about her, but I knew that I couldn't. I had to keep our friendship a secret from everyone else and I hated that. She deserved to be shown off.
"I get why Namjoon doesn't want you to be around her though," Taehyung said.
I turned to look at Taehyung. "And why is that?" I asked.
"The way you look at her, it's written all over your face. You're in love with her." He said, giving me an apologetic little smile.
I raised my eyebrows. "I don't look at her like that. I admire her for her talent and perseverance. That's the way I'm looking at her." I said, feeling the need to defend myself.
"Whatever you want to tell yourself to make you feel better. But if the media saw you look at her like this, the internet would be flooded with articles about you two dating. There's no doubt about it." Taehyung shrugged and turned his attention back to Sun-Hi and Jimin dancing.
I don't say anything back to Tae. I had no idea what I could say to that because I knew that it was true. The media misinterprets every little thing we do. It's one of the many downsides of being an idol, but also something I knew when I signed up for this.
"Yes! That was it!" I heard Jimin yell and I quickly snapped my gaze to the two.
"I did it! Oh my god. Let me try again, maybe it was just a fluke." Sun-Hi said, her face glowing with happiness.
She went back to the other side of the room and started running, jumped up in the air and did a full 360 in the air. Jimin stood next to her, jumping up and down all giddy.
I got up when she landed safely on the ground and clapped. She really did it and it looked great.
"Yoongi! Did you see that!? I did it! I can do it!" She ran over to me.
This time I held out my arms even though I felt apprehensive at her hugging me in front of other people. She launched herself into my arms. I wrapped my arms tightly around her and spun her around one time before I let go of her, setting her down. I scratched the back of my head.
"That was so impressive. I knew you could do it." I said. I felt my heart swell with pride.
She turned back to Jimin. "Thank you so much for helping me out, I will be forever grateful to you." She bowed.
