See You Again - A Choni Story

Chapter 18

Cheryl's POV

~next day~

I arrived at school and headed straight for the student lounge, here me and my friends would always meet. Kevin was already there.

"Hey, girl." He said and gestured for me to sit next to him.

"So spill the tea that you mentioned last night."

"Not until everyone is here." He responded.

"Uhhhhh fine. They better hurry up." I laughed.

~a little while later~

"Hi...Do you happen to know where this class is?...I'm new here and I have absolutely no idea where to go." I heard somebody say. I looked up to see somebody talking to Betty.

"Yes I do." Betty answered nicely as she told the new person where to go. The new girl was cute. For some reason, I felt like I already knew her. It took me a moment to put my finger on it.

"Oh my god." I gasped. Are my eyes fooling me? Or is she really standing there? Is it actually her? It can't be. Not after all this time, can it? But it is. It must be because she looks just like her. The girl looked up at me, but soon looked back down to Betty, who spoke to her again.

"Calm it, dude." Veronics giggled.

"TT?" I wasn't sure if it was really her. It felt too good to be true. She stared at me, not saying anything.

"TT? Is that you?" I asked, hoping she would respond. Her eyes widened and softned at the same time. Did I hit a nerve? Is it her?

"There's only one person who has ever call-" She failed to finish her sentence as her phone tumbled to the floor. The response confirmed my thoughts. It's her. My first love. My first and only ever crush. Toni Topaz was back and it felt like fate. After all these years, we were finally together again. She was stuned. I'm sure she's feeling the same surprise that I am right now.

"It's me." I took a step closer to her.

"Ch-Cheryl?" I could feel a smile growing at her words. I couldn't control it. Toni then picked her phone up and ran straight towards me. My arms lifted naturally, ready for her to jump into them. I closed my arms as soon as I felt her body press against them. I embraced it, the moment I had been longing for all these years. It felt so good to hug her again. It felt so good to see her.

"I can't believe it's you." Toni whispered. She pulled away and looked deep into my eyes, forcing us to make eye contact. I felt her hand reach for my cheek and her thumb wiped away a tear. I felt my skin tingle. It was just like old times.

"You've changed. You got that pink bit in your hair." It was new, but I thought it was beautiful. To me, she was still perfect. She was still my TT. I sniffled. I cried. I couldn't help it. I was emotional.

"Oh this? Yeah it's stupid."

"I think it's cute." I smiled at her.

"And you've grown...like a lot." Toni pointed it out.

"Or maybe you've gotten smaller." The moment had been dreaming of for the past four years was no longer a dream, it was reality, and I couldn't of been happier.
