See You Again - A Choni Story

Chapter 27

Cheryl's POV

~next day~

I was waiting outside the school building for Toni to arrive. I still can't believe she's my girlfriend. And this is going to be our first time as a couple at school. I couldn't be more excited. Suddenly, I felt two hands over my eyes. Everything appeared dark and black.

"Guess who?" She said. I knew it was Toni instantly.

"Ummmm...Arianna Grande?" I joked. Toni then moved her hands, placed them on my hips and spun me around.

"Hey beautiful." She greeted me and placed a kiss on my cheek. I felt them burning.

"Hey, TT." I smiled widely at her. Her hand found mine and our fingers linked together. My cheeks heated up even more. I tried to cover them.

"I can see you blushing, Bombshell. You can't hide it from me."

"N-no I'm not..." She didn't believe a word I said. "Uhhhh...this is so embarassing."

"It's not. I think it's cute." Why does she literally make me melt whenever she does anything?

"You're gonna have to stop saying such nice things. My jaw is literally hurting from smiling and we've barely been here a minute." I explained.

"Not a chance." Toni said. "How about we go and find the others?" I nodded and we walked off.

Toni's POV

Cheryl and I walked down the corridor, hand in hand, on a path to our lockers. They happened to be pretty close together. We dumped some things in them and I quickly found my way back to her. We were edging closer to the student lounge, where we knew our friends would be.

"Y'know, I somehow feel like giving them the night to process it isn't really gonna help much in Kevin's case, now that I come to think about it." Cheryl stated.

"True. But I don't care. I freakoud out too. I just can't believe this is actually happening...you, me, us...after all these years."

"Well you better believe it because it's happening, babe." Cheryl chuckled, as we entered the lounge. Our friends were sat on the seats, exactly like every other morning. The usual greetings were thrown around. Cheryl and I took a seat next to each other and I wrapped my arm around her.

"Oh my god...you guys are everything!" Kevin gasped. Veronica gave him a stare. "Sorry. I promised I was gonna be cool, but seeing you guys together in person...it just hits different. You are adorable."

"Thanks, Kev." Cheryl laughed and I watched as she did so. I had always thought that she had the cuttest laugh. I looked at her. She is perfect.

"I can feel you staring, TT."

"I'm sorry. I can't help it." I said and Cheryl looked at me. We stared into each other's eyes. For a moment, it was as if it was only us in the world. Only me and her, together. I leaned in and kissed her gently, and could hear another loud gasp escape Kevin as we did so, reminding me of where I was. We parted, a large grin on my face.

Veronica was looking at her boyfriend and Betty looked was looking at hers. The way that Jughead and Betty act around each other used to kind of annoy me...they are just so coupley, if that's even a word. But now that I'm with Cheryl it doesn't because I know that I'm gonna be just like them. I know I will want to kiss her any chance I get. I think I'm actually already like that and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet...oops.

"It really sucks being the only one here who isn't in a relationship. I want somebody to love me." Kevin added.

"Poor Kevin." I said.

"Wait Cheryl and Toni are both in relationships?" Archie seemed confused and we all looked at him.

"Seriously dude? They are dating each other. They literally announced it last night and Veronica also told you." Betty said to Archie.

"Oh yeah. Totally forgot." He replied.

"Did we call it or did we call it?" Cheryl giggled again. I didn't think I could like her more than I already do and then she laughs...and my feelings somehow get stronger. I'm literally so soft for her. I hate but also love it.

"So Toni...how did Cheryl ask you out?" Kevin asked.

"Bold of you to assume she's the one who asked me out."

"Oh hunny please...Don't even try to fool yourself." He replied.

"Either way that's for me to know and for you to not." I said. I felt all mysterious. The room fell silent and I could tell they were all still thinking about who asked who out.

"Hey guys...where's Heather?" Cheryl wondered. We all shook our heads. As if by magic, Heather appeared.

"Speak of the devil." Kevin mumbled.

"I know I'm late. What have I missed?"

"Only Archie being a dumbass." Jughead pointed out.

"What's new?" Heather joined in. We all began laughing uncontrollably while Archie stared at us.
