Burning Wrists

EXPLANATION

THIS IS IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE STORY!!! Please read, it should only take you a minute.

This story is a soulmate au, but it's multiple soulmate au's. I liked the idea of all of them and decided to incorporate all of them into the story.

So the Au's are:

1. Soul mark. In this AU you get a small tattoo on your wrist (or sometimes shoulder but I'm using their wrist) that represents your soulmate. This could be anything, but for this fic, your soul mark will be the colour(s) you associate them with and a small image that represents their quirk.

2. Their pain. I don't know what to call this AU, but basically you can feel (and see) your soulmate's pain. If your soulmate gets hurt, you'll feel about ten percent of the pain they're feeling. A personal twist I've added to this au, is that you'll also get a mark where the injury is. It would be just a few shades darker than their skin tone, and it would be in exactly the same place as your injury. The worse the injury is, the darker the mark will be and the longer it will stay. When your injury heals, their mark will fade too. For example a graze would be hardly noticeable, while a bullet wound would be almost black. If your soulmate dies from the injury, that mark turns red and will never disappear.

3: Writing au. This au is really simple (and I'm sure some of you have seen it before), basically you and your soulmate can talk to each other by writing on your arm. The writing acts the same way it would if you were writing on your arm in real life. It fades and it can be washed off. But, even though the ink appears on your arm, it's not on your arm. So you can't wash off what your soulmate said, only they can.

4. Burning lips au. This au I kind of made up myself, or maybe I read it somewhere and forgot I read about it, but it's really simple. If your soulmate kisses someone else, your lips will burn and so will theirs.

5. Omegaverse. You've probably came across this AU before, so I won't explain it because there are so many different elements to it. If you don't know, leave a comment and I'll explain it to you. Unfortunately, it's not very present in the story. With so much going on, the omegaverse isn't my main priority, but it will definitely still be there and it will be important to the story, but I won't constantly mention it.

These AU's often change slightly with each fic I see. These are my own adaptations to suit my own fic, so they won't be the same every time you come across them. In this universe, your soul mark appears at exactly midnight on your sixteenth birthday. Once your soul mark appears, you can interact with your soulmates in all the ways stated above. And if your soulmate dies, you get a second chance soulmate (like a backup plan). Your second chance soulmate won't be as perfect for you as the first, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. Second chance soulmates are also really common, so it's not an unusual or sad thing to have a second chance soulmate.

For the writing au, Shoto will be in bold, Katsuki will be in bold and italics, and Izuku will be in bold, italics and underlined.

Italics are for thoughts and occasionally emphasis in case you wanted to know.
