Izuku POV

The rest of the week passed by ever so slowly, and every moment was unimaginably excruciating.

Fortunately for Izuku, his soulmates didn't give up their relentless messages, possibly the only thing that got him through alive. But after the first day they changed their tactics and instead of simply trying to comfort the omega, they aimed for distracting him, telling him things about themselves and their lives even though they knew he couldn't respond.

He found out that Shoto's quirk was both ice and fire, which was why his soulmark was so unique. He also found out that he has heaps of siblings. All of what Katsuki told him about himself he already knew, however, but they didn't need to know that.

Thursday was the middle of Izuku's heat, so after that the pain started fading as quickly as it grew, which Izuku was endlessly thankful for. His heat waves still struck him with all the force of a tsunami, but as the days passed he could easily feel the pain slowly dissipating. By Friday his heat had lessened to a level that Izuku could almost handle without screaming bloody murder.

He was hoping he'd be able to make it to work, but in his current state that was impossible. He'd have to make it up somehow, that is if Aito didn't kill him first. Izuku had spent the last few hours thinking of Aito between each wave of his heat. But he wasn't thinking of him out of love and longing as he should have been, but rather fear. All Might knows what Aito might do to him when he finds out Izuku skipped work the entire weekend for something like a heat.

On Saturday, the pain shrunk to a manageable level. Manageable, as in he could go an hour without thinking of the many ways he could make his pain end. Teruko was still here, she'd been sleeping on his couch and tending to his mother since he couldn't. Izuku was sure he'd have to do something truly amazing to make it up to her. She hadn't bothered trying to bring him food, knowing very well that intruding on an omega during their heat was cause for them to attack you, no matter who you were or how much pain they were in. Which meant Izuku hadn't eaten in almost a week, but that wasn't unusual for him.

Sunday afternoon was when Izuku could finally get up and move around. He could still feel the aching pain, but it wasn't consuming him as it had the rest of the week. But he had now missed over 50 hours of work. He'd have to work every night for the rest of the week to make it up. The clock on his wall read one thirty, and if he left now he'd be able to get a few hours of work in tonight before school in the morning.

He stood slowly, wary of his still aching muscles protesting against working when he was only just drifting out of his heat. His body was coated in dry slick, sweat, and cum. He hadn't been able to shower at all during his heat because of the immobilising pain, so that was the first thing he did.

He was in the shower for about forty-five minutes before he gathered the courage to get out, meticulously cleaning his body of all evidence that he had recently been in heat. It was dangerous and stupid for an omega to go anywhere for at least twenty-four hours after their heat, but Izuku didn't have a choice, he'd just have to pray he wouldn't run into any alpha's and fight off the ones he did come across.

After getting out of the shower he ran over to his set of drawers, digging out his collar. All omega's had collars, but it wasn't always necessary to use them. The collar only protected Izuku's scent glands and muted his scent and pheromones, so it wouldn't completely protect him from unwanted advances, but it was something at least.

He grabbed his work bag from under his bed and checked the contents. He made sure his clothes, first aid kit, hand wraps, mouth guard, extra money and ID badge were all in there. He quickly got dressed in a casual outfit, hoping to blend in easily with the afternoon crowd and make it to work without a hassle.
