Izuku POV:

Izuku's hands were shaking and his bottom lip stung from its place between his teeth. His emerald eyes flicking apprehensively over the dimly lit office in fear. His sweaty palms ran over the fabric of his "work uniform" pants, but the leather wasn't helpful in drying his hands. He felt lightheaded and dizzy, and wondered if it was possible for his heart to beat right through his ribcage and out of his chest.

Only a few hours ago, his idol and hero offered Izuku his quirk. Yet the boy's mind wasn't on the pro-hero. He could hardly remember the lecture he got from the other heroes present during the attack about his stupidity and recklessness, or the withering glare he received from Katsuki. He didn't even think of his soulmates words, even though they burned him. "You're a quirkless failure playing without a full deck! Don't think you can look down on me!"

He was sitting on a cold metal bench, his knee bobbing up and down rapidly in time with his heart. The afternoon had been hectic, to say the very least. But in the end, Izuku still ended up at his less-than-comforting workplace. He had arrived a mere hour ago and had since been brainstorming excuses to feed his boyfriend. "Family emergency," "I got sick and didn't want anyone else to get sick," "I got in an accident and couldn't do much for a few days," were his first thoughts, but none would suffice. In Aito's mind, nothing was cause for his boyfriend and star-worker to miss so much as an hour of work. If Izuku called him up one Friday night and told him he'd been shot five times in the chest, Aito would probably tell him to take a painkiller and walk it off. But could Izuku tell him the truth? If he told Aito about his soulmates, what would he do? Izuku knew his boyfriend was the jealous type, he'd probably kill Katsuki if he were to find out he was Izuku's soulmate. So telling him about his now stronger heat wouldn't be a good idea. But Izuku also knew Aito wasn't stupid. If he lied, the consequences would be far worse.

A door slammed loudly to his right, and Izuku practically jumped out of his skin at the scare. He didn't need to see who walked in to know it was Aito.

"Where the fuck have you been?!" Aito growled, releasing threatening pheromones that had Izuku shaking in submission and fear. He stormed up to Izuku and stood in front of the shaking omega, fists clenched into tight balls at his sides.

Aito was passively attractive, with short cut black hair and sharp features. His body was undeniably muscular as well. He towered over Izuku's small stature of 5'5 at a height of 5'8, with muscles in every possible place on his body. But still, Izuku's fear and hatred of the man overshadowed any attraction he could have felt. The mere sight of Aito's pitch black eyes sent his blood curling in terror as it did now.

Izuku didn't respond, scared for his life. But it was the wrong choice. Aito growled at him again and grabbed his throat tightly with one hand, pulling the omega to his feet by his neck. Izuku's hands grabbed at Aito's own on instinct, but he never dared to look him in the eye. "Worthless omega," Aito growled just loud enough for Izuku to hear him. "ANSWER ME!"

"M-my heat," Izuku choked out pitifully, trying to breathe around Aito's hold on his throat. Fortunately, Aito released him and Izuku dropped to his knees, panting to regain his breath while his fingers massaged his throat.

"Your heat?" Aito asked in a low voice, and Izuku shivered at the unconcealed anger it held. "You skipped two days of work because of your fucking heat?"
