Izuku POV :

Izuku was rather happy with how his night had gone yesterday. Despite Aito's beatings and the stress that bore down on him over, well, everything, it could have gone worse. He successfully won thirteen matches in total, and when each match won him around 5-10 grand, he certainly couldn't complain.

The next morning however, he was definitely feeling the after effects. His body ached from head to toe despite the strong painkillers Thalia gave him after his last fight. Every movement felt like a battle, and he could tell even Katsuki could feel the effects of the small percentage he experienced.

He drifted through the day almost half asleep, not quite processing much of what happened around him. Katsuki was the only one who noticed -- Katsuki was the only one who ever noticed Izuku's presence and Izuku always wished he hadn't --, but other than a few snide remarks he didn't say much on the matter. Which was certainly odd for him, but Izuku wasn't going to question it.

When he got home, however, he woke up from his stupor rather quickly. His mother was running frantically around the kitchen, cooking a rather large dinner and setting up the house for guests.

"Mum?" Izuku said rather loudly to catch her attention. The female beta jumped at her son's sudden approach, but turned to smile kindly at him.

"Izuku, you're home! Quick, go get ready, dress nice!" She shooed him off to his room, ignoring the questioning look on his face as she turned back around to tend to the food.

"Why? Are we having guests over?"

"Yes!" She said excitedly. Izuku smiled at the sight. He hadn't seen his mother so excited about something since before his father told her he wasn't going to be returning from his trip. "The Bakugo's are coming over to celebrate Masaru's birthday! It's been forever since we've all gotten together like this. Now go," she shooed him away again, fanning her hands at him energetically. "Get ready."

Izuku had frozen when his mother told him who was coming over, but now started slowly shuffling up the stairs to his room to do as his mother asked. His fists clenched tightly at his sides, and his mind started drifting.

Thoughts of the blond consumed him, an occurrence that seemed to be happening quite often recently to the omega's annoyance.

Katsuki had been considerably nicer since his sixteenth birthday, but Izuku was still wary. Would Katsuki beat him with their parents in the house? Would Katsuki's parents even care? Would his own mother care?

No! Izuku mentally hit himself. How dare you. Your mother is so happy and she has done so much for you, don't you dare ruin this for her! You're a selfish bitch!

Izuku ran his nails up his left arm, brushing the cuts. Then he started squeezing his arm, continuously increasing the pressure, his nails digging into his cuts and opening them up again. He sped to his room, his arm stinging painfully in protest of the assault, and his mind still flinging insults at him.

That's when it hit him. He was supposed to be working tonight, he can't do that now. What the fuck was he going to do?

Great, you're stupid too.
