I followed Rune through the deep tunnels, Lane tripping over her feet behind us as we walked through the almost total darkness.
"The palace of Dvorac na Nebu is a place were the spirits and living can meet. It's rumored to be the place that the otherkin themselves came from." Rune stated, earning a sigh.
"How much farther?" Lane asked, panting as we paused at a crossroad while Rune read the map.
"Just a little more ways in." Rune answered and turned to Lane with a smile.
"Come on tough gal. A little walkin' wont kill ya!"
As we neared the large, gilded doors that rested up at the top of the short staircase my heart began to pound as my wolf began to leap.
"Lane...You go in with her. I'm sure she could use it." Rune stated, pushing my reluctant mate toward me.
"Come on, let's go." I stated, taking her hand before walking toward the large doors that swung open.
I watched in awe as the glowing spirits followed us however one sent shockwaves through both my wolf and I.
"Dad!"
Lane watched in awe as he spun me around then he turned toward her and grinned
"So is she your mate?"
Then he enveloped Lane into a hug, shocking her.
"Yep, that's Lane." I replied with a laugh as I watched her blush and try not to panic as he held her.
"jeez girl, I'm not going to kill you." he laughed, pulling away and cuffing her on the shoulder playfully.
"She's not use to being hugged by many people outside of our pack....and definitely not an alpha."
Dad nodded at that and grinned before adding "well she's an alpha too if you two have marked each other. Though to be honest the packing order is messed up."
We sat and talked for hours, him answering my question and then getting to know Lane.
"What exactly is this place?" I asked after some time and he sighed.
"This is a place where both the living and dead can meet.....I am glad that you guys can come visit me." he stated with a grin.
