Zurich Has a Lark

The day is quiet. The Pokémon have gone back home from the Diamond Domain, so nothing much is happening. They become bored. Eventually, Zurich has had enough. He stands up and goes to the kitchen to make things more interesting. Jan notices.

Jan - What's up, Zurich?

Zurich - Oh, I was just feeling a bit peckish...

Jan - But that's the canned goods cupboard, what are you making?

Zurich - Oh, just some stuff. Nothing to worry about.

He takes down two unlabeled cans, which are, in fact, filled with black beans.

Jan - Whoa... Zurich, I know things have been slow, but think about this!

Zurich - Its been too long...

He claws open the first can and finishes everything inside. To Jan's horror, he then finishes the other can as well. He goes through the mental conversion, becoming a monster inside. However, with practise, he is able to control himself a small amount.

Zurich - Let's play a little game of Hide and Seek, shall we?

Jan dashes through the house to warn the others.

Jan - Hide! Zurich just downed two cans of beans!

London - Crap! I still haven't written my will yet!

Berlin - Me neither...

All the Pokémon run and hide as best they can, and Zurich begins to stalk through the house. He begins with the freezer. As he predicted, Ottawa has been reading in the freezer all day and did not hear Jan's warning.

Ottawa - Oh! Hello Zurich. What's up?

Zurich - You're it...

Ottawa - Um... Zurich? Are you... Oh, grief, you had beans, didn't you?! Go away!

Ottawa scales to the top of the inside of the freezer, holding herself up by pressing against the sides. Zurich waits patiently underneath.

Ottawa - Please, please, Zurich, come back!

Zurich - Not until something interesting happens.

Ottawa - What?! You mean, you won't go until we get a dare?!

Zurich - I hope your arms are strong. You might have a while to wait.

Ottawa - Zurich! Why do you have to do this?! Um, um... Codbuck! We're pals, right?! Give me a dare! You want me to puke on Tokyo again or something?! Please! I'm begging you! Anyone! Just dare me! I don't wanna die!

And so they sat that way, until someone decided to take action.
