"You really love him." Rima's voice breaks me from my staring at Abel. Him and boys have gone to fetch some drinks.

"I really like him, that's true. I don't think love would be an appropriate word for what I feel." I reply Rima.

"But I can see it in the way you look at him. Fascinated by everything he does." Rima's observation makes me assess my feelings.

"To be honest, I am falling for him. It's true and I can't deny that. But I can't also say that to him. It wasn't supposed to happen." I admit, tired of fighting my feelings.

"Why was it not suppose to happen? When you spend four months with someone, being with them almost every single day, all day, you fall for them. It's natural. You can't help it."

I debate whether or not I should tell her about our agreement. How it was only for sex and few dates. It doesn't mean anything more than that for him. It never will. I decide otherwise.

Thankfully, our conversation comes to end as boys have come back. Abel brought me back some fancy looking drink which have vodka in it. I drink it in one big sip.

The song behind us changes and I plead Abel to dance with me. He finally agrees, letting me lead him on the dance floor.

The evening goes by in a blur. Abel me and have danced to at least four songs. The DJ changes song to a slow one, announcing that, it's for all the couples and newlywed, Rebecca and Manny. They come on the dance floor, leading the dance as other couples follow suit. I turn around to leave when Abel catch my hand and pulls me in his embrace.

He puts my hand on his shoulder and his on my waist, our eyes never breaking contact. And then he moves, twirling and pulling me to the rythym.   I know there are many people around, but it feels like we are in our own bubble. We are so carefree in this moment, that I can almost believe we are smitten. I push all the negative thoughts out of my mind, focusing only on Abel and his damn smile.

The song ends too soon, pulling us out of our world. Everyone claps for newlyweds and we make our way to the table.

"Do you wanna go home?" Abel asks me.
"Yeah, I'm very tired." I reply with a sigh.
"Okay, let's say goodbye to everyone real quick and we'll head home." He kisses my temple and snakes his arm around my waist.

We reach our table where everyone is at. Abel goes to Sal and Cash, talking to them while I gather my bag and shawl.

"Let's meet up Kia!" Rima pleads me.
"Okay, I'll let you know then we can invite Dina too." I reply and kiss her cheek. We say our goodbyes and head to the car, my feet begging me to stop walking.

"Ouch. My feet are killing me." I groan, stopping midway. I unhook the lock and slide the sandal.

"Ahh!" I shriek when Abel picks me up in his arms. He laughs at me then starts walking. I put my head on his shoulder, the fentle rocking and his warmth comforting me.
