Tomorrow is the wedding and I still don't have a dress to wear. Instead of finding one, I am sitting here pondering over the picture from yesterday. Who is that girl, and what connection does she have with the fire? Just then Lexi comes out of her room, with her luggage packed beside her. I look at her in confusion.

"Baby, I need to go back. My boss called me and warned if I'm not there in few hours he'll take me off the case." She says defeated. I get up from the sofa and walk towards her.

"It's okay, Lexi. I appreciate you even coming here in the first place." I say through the lump in my throat. I am so glad that there is one person I can lean on when I am at my worst, and that's her. She have done more than our mother would do.

"Kia, you're my sister. Of course I'm gonna be there for you when you need me." She hugs me and I cry in her shoulder. It's been years since I have been held by her. Last time I remember, it was the night I ran away and she had absolutely no idea what I was about to do.

Her phone rings in her pocket. She breaks from our embrace and inform me that her Uber is here. I wish her goodbye as she kisses my forehead. Closing the door, I let out a long sigh. This house is gonna be so empty now.

"I've had it now! Fuck!" I scream at the boys for their slacking. If it wasn't for them being idiots, my office warehouse would still have been in one piece. I watch as the flames go up towards the sky, burning all my stuff in there.

"You all are fired. Get out of my face before I kill someone!" They cower back in fear and leave. This is getting out of hand now. Whoever that motherfucker is, I will find him and he's gonna pay for all the misery I have suffered. First, breaking and entering at my house, then fire at Lush, and now he burned my warehouse. I'm not gonna rest until I find him.

Sound of fire truck sound in the distance, coming here obviously. They arrive seconds later, which is my cue to leave. I tell Monroe to handle them, can't be seen here or my face gonna be all over the news. 'The Weeknd illegal warehouse burned to ashes, millions of cocaine burned with it.' with some headline like this probably.

A ping on my phone distracts me, message from Greta letting me know the order has been sent out. Good, at least someone's day is gonna be better than mine.

As I have no work to do, I start on the new chapter of my book. I have been pushing it everyday but not anymore. I'm gonna be starting the internship in a month and I need to focus more on my future. The doorbell rings, distracting me from the work before me. I sigh and walk towards the door, maybe its Abel. My heart start racing at his name. The effect he have on me.

"Yes?" I question the stranger in the monitor. He replies that he has a parcel for me. I disable the alarm and open the door. He hands me a paperbag, a rectangular box and bouquet of flowers. He gives me a paper to sign my name on then leaves.

Confused, I take it inside. First, I look at the flowers and find a name card.
'Hope you like it. XO Abel.' my face automatically lights up as I read his name. What have he send me?

I rip through the paper inside the bag and my hand caress a silky cloth. I pull it out and I'm left amazed. It's a sea green color silk dress. Full length and sleeveless, it's perfect for the wedding tomorrow. Then I open the rectangular box. I find black glitter stilettos inside. They twinkle just like a night sky full of stars.

I grab my phone and send a quick thank you to Abel,

'Thank you for the dress and shoes. Love them❤️.'

He responds quickly.

'I'm glad you like them. 😁'

I laugh at his smiling emoji imagining his face instead of it. I can't wait for tomorrow now.
