Police already arrived when we reached Abel's house. He practically jumped out of the car as soon as we pulled in the driveway. I follow suit as Abel walks up to some guy I don't recognise. He talks animatedly, moving his hands a lot while giving Abel the rundown of what happened.

"Excuse me sir. Officer Douglas from LAPD." A white man with receding hairline introduce himself to us. Abel shakes his hand, then he offers it to me.

"Mr.." Officer Douglas pauses.
"Abel Tesfaye." Abel states his full name.

"Mr. Tesfaye. We searched the entire property, but didn't find him. I talked to your security, he went for a parameter check when our guy slipped in." Offucer says.

"What about CCTV? Did you check the footage?" Abel asks.

"Yes. We couldn't see his face the entire footage and he was wearing non descriptive clothes. Your housekeeper said nothing is missing but maybe you can check again. There might be something she missed." Officer suggests. Abel nods and turns towards the house.

I follow him inside, eyes wandering to find anything unusual. We climb upstairs to his bedroom first, where he checks his closet and cabinets. Then he moves to another room. This one is locked and Abel produces a key from his coat pocket. He unlocks the door and flick the light on.

The room is a huge closet, with rows upon rows of coats covered in bags, dress shirts, suit pants, hoodies, ties and belts hanging from rods.

There is a whole section for shoes, from formal wear to casuals and some from his own collabs.

He goes to a showcase covering half the wall. It holds awards he have won, Grammys, Juno and others. Below it, resides a wooden desk with glass top and few drawers.

He opens one and reveals collection of gold and diamond chains, some have XO on it, others varies in thickness. He picks up every one of them then places them down. Then he opens another drawer.  This one has rings and broches.

After going through every drawer and  checking every corner of the room, Abel leaves locking it behind him.

We check every room in the house on every floor, everything is in its place. Weird for a burglar to not take anything from a house like this.

"Hey, are you okay?" I ask Abel as we walk down to meet Officer Douglas. He nods his head in reply, sighing loudly.

"I'm sorry, really. I didn't mean to shout at you. I am under a lot of stress." He explains.

"I know, Abel. Don't worry, at least they didn't take anything." I try to reassure him.

"That's the scary part. Why did they not take anything? You just saw the ice I have, all the jewels. If not those, there are other things here. Why did the not take them?" What Abel said makes sense. Why did they even break in?
