All things seem to fade away,
Like a flower after spring and summer,
Wilting, fluttering away like a butterfly's wing,
Whether it be relationships, hobbies,
Or items in possession,
It will all eventually fade away.
The things that are fading away
Can cause heartbreak or sadness,
Sometimes even a tinge of gladness.
The things that stay,
Are those things of great happiness,
Things of joy and peace
Within the heart and mind of the soul.
Even those things that aren't fading away,
Will have to one day,
They may stay a lot longer than others,
But even those slowly fade away,
As time goes on, the wilt and flutter,
Flutter like an angel wing, until one day,
When you yourself will fly away,
Fly away with those other things,
On angel wings,
For we will all end up
Fading Away
