As the winter season came around Johnny Storm expected to see his team together in the living room as he got home on 24th Dec around 4 pm but instead he only saw Reed's niece Diana laying on the sofa with an emotionless look on her face while surfing through the TV channels
Johnny: well this is unexpected.
Diana however doesn't react to this and keeps searching as Johnny notices a pink note she must have wrote for him on the table
Johnny walks over to it, picks it up and gives it a read.
"Dear Johnny! If you are reading this then I must be too upset to talk so let me give you the short story here. I overheard Reed and Sue talking this morning about giving me up for adoption after the Christmas season, so I decided to give you the good news here since I couldn't talk to you in person"
Johnny: *his eyes widen as he reads it, he needs to read it 3 times to make sure he red it right* No, they can't...they can't do that...they have no right. This can't be...
Diana's eyes widen in surprise at that since she never expected Johnny to react badly at the news
Johnny: *turns/looks at Diana* talk to me...tell me you don't want to be adopted. *says with a frown on his face*
Diana only looks down sadly as her eyes tear up not only from sadness but also from the fact that she was expecting that the Flame hero wouldn;t care if she was there or not
Johnny: Diana, you really don't wanna stay do you? Its my fault isn't it? I haven't bin really acting like i want you here. *says feeling guilt*
Diana: I do want to stay.... I am just lost here ... I never expected for any of this to happen ... I don't even get why they want to give me away
Johnny: *eyes widen upon hearing that* i have no idea myself why they would do that but i'm going to find out one way or another.
Diana: Even if you do they will still do it *says as she gets up and starts walking towards her room*
Johnny: No, I'll make sure it doesn't happen. Like hell i'll allow this, their not doing this, i'll find a way to stop it. *says wanting to fallow her but knows she needs time by herself*
Diana: As you wish but please inform them I won't be coming down for dinner tonight. They can celebrate on their own this year
Johnny: *frowns* Oh come on Diana, its Christmas you can't spend it by yourself.
Diana: I can if I'm not wanted near my own family
Johnny: You are wanted...by me...why don't we spend it together just the two of us?
Diana freezes in place before she turns around to look at him with hope shining in her eyes
Johnny: would you like that? When its just us and without the others? *asks his eyes locked on her not leaving her* you can even invite friends if you want, you don't have to. *asks showing her he's serious*
Diana: I want to spend it with you ... i just thought you were busy like every year
Johnny: *smiles a small smile* then that's what were gonna do its just gonna be you and me, you can pick the place it doesn't have to be here. I might have bin busy with stuff i always have time for you.
Diana bursts into tears at that as she springs into a run towards Johnny just as Reed, Sue and Ben finally come down from the lab
Johnny opens his arms for her ready to catch her, hug her, comfort her, etc.
Susan: um what is going on here?
Ben: *nods* when did you get home this time flame brain?
Johnny to everyone surprise ignores the insult and has his attention on Diana.
During this Diana hides her face into his neck as she sobs even if her tears vanish against his skin while her arms shake around his shoulders
Johnny wraps his arms tightly around her hugging her, comforting her, pulling her close and tight against him.
Ben: did Johnny just...
Reed: he didn't react to his nickname at all...
Susan: he didn't respond at all...what is going on...
Meanwhile without them realizing it Johnny hears every little thing that is being said but he decides to focus on the girl in his arms.
Diana: I wish .... you could .... adoped me instead Johnny
Johnny: *starts to grin* Yes, that's it, Diana your a genius. I'll adopt you that way no one will be able to take you from me. *says this while glaring at Reed, Ben and Sue*
Diana: Wait if so does this mean I get to call you daddy and be 24/7 with you?
Johnny: *grins wider* you bet and you can move to my room.
Reed: Johnny?!
Ben: you can't be serious?
Johnny: oh i'm very serious unlike you guys, i care about Diana. How dare you put her up for adoption.
Susan: how did you...
Johnny: take a guess. *says throwing the note he still had with him*
Diana: Could we spend the holidays out of town?
Johnny: of course anything you want. *says with a smile enjoying having her so close to him*
Diana: I love you Johnny
Johnny: *his eyes widen at first before they fill with love, adoration, etc* Oh Diana i love you more, much more. *tightens his grip*
Meanwhile the others watch with wide eyes and jaws dropped.
Diana tightens her own grip on him as she starts to cover his face with kisses before squealing then he picks her up in his arms
Johnny: lets take it to my room. *says with a smile before turning with a death glare aimed at his teammates* Don't think i'm done with you three yet for what you were planning on doing. You have no idea how angry i am right now, your Lucky Diana is here *growls out*
Diana: Daddy please don't be mad
Johnny: i'm not mad at you sweetie. *speaks to her gently, caring and loving* i can't let what they were planning go that easy.
Diana: Why don't you just make the paperwork and file it down to court in the morning? I know a judge who enjoys making holiday miracles come true
Johnny: *smiles wider then before liking that idea* Yes, that is a great idea...God i can't wait for you to be my daughter and call you sweetie or anything else you want me to call you. *says as he starts walking away and out of the room*
Diana: You could always do that. I just figured you were too busy to want to waste time on me
Johnny: Diana, listen to me you are NOT a waste a time to me...you are everything i ever wanted. *says as he starts kissing her all over her face*
Diana: I love you dearly daddy *says as she lays her head on his shoulder*
Johnny: i love you dearly as well Diana, now and forever. *hugs her close as he walks out and away from the others*
Diana tears up again but this time presses her lips to his
Johnny: *needs a moment before he kisses her back and thinks* I cant believe this really happening...Diana is gonna be my daughter...god i can't wait to love her, care, spoil her. I can finally have her all to myself...someone who wants me for me wherever if i'm famous or not. I love her so so much, i'll treasure her forever my greastest wish has come true. I wont let the others take her from me, she's mine. *kisses her back with all the love and passion he can*
Susan: *her eyes widen as she watches them make out* I don't believe it...so Diana heard us talking...she even wrote a note for my brother...i don't believe it...I guess Johnny is serious by the looks of it...
Ben: *thinks* Okay, right now i don't even know how to feel about this...i'm surprised he didn't even react to me calling flame brain...crazy.
Reed: *thinks* i did not see this coming...how did we never see how close they really are...wait if Diana becomes Johnny's daughter then doesn't that make Susan...wait she's also my niece...Oh God...
