A few months have passed and we're well in the month of November. So far, Dexter and I have been trying to adapt to each other's lifestyle, but things haven't been going too well... We would argue almost all the time and I was running out of options.
When I came home from work that Wednesday, I called Alice for some advice. She didn't know my true relationship with Dexter, but I needed to ask somebody for help.
"Hey Alice, are you busy?" I asked, "I just wanted your advice on something. —Oh no-no! You don't have to come over, I just—You're coming anyway? Alright then."About five minutes later, she knocked on the door and I let her in.
"Alright—" She threw her bag down, "Who did it?"
"What the—did what?? Nothing happened!"
"Well, last time you called me for advice, I had to cuss your uncle out." She crossed her arms.
"No-no! It's nothing like that!" I laughed. "I'm just looking for, um...relationship advice."She covered her mouth and gasped.
"Oh my god!" She squealed as she pulled me to the couch, "Okay-okay, what is she like? How long have you been seeing each other?"He is not a 'she', but...
"Well, it's been a little over three months, but we don't hang out and talk like we use to." I explained.
"Have I seen her before?" She asked, "You never told me you were in a relationship.""You may have..." I nervously smiled.
"Well, what does she look like? Is she blonde—I feel like you'd go for a blonde."
"We'll get to that in a second, just calm down." I waved my hands, "So she's...in the band."
"Mmm..." she shook her head, "You know band people are always busy. Did she tell you her schedule?""Yes but, she's always busy throughout the week and hosts small shows at these places I never heard of—and most of the time I can't make it because of research papers and my part-time job."
"I see..." she nodded, "Have you guys made a compromise?"
"We tried, but she's always focused on the band."She sat for a minute to think.
"Well..." she sighed, "I highly, highly suggest you have a sit down with her. If you don't, I dunno what'll happen."
"Well, there's another thing..." I gritted my teeth, "She is a 'he', and he's in the band you love."It took a minute for her to process it, then her jaw dropped.
"No..." she covered her mouth, "It's—no! Are you serious?!"
"Y-yeah I'm—"
"No!" She jumped up and smiled, "Simon you're—no way! You're lying to me right now!"
"I'm not lying, I swear." I laughed.
"Oh my god, Simon!" She hugged me, "Wait...Dexter's gay? Oh it doesn't matter—I'm so happy for you! So, wait I'm confused now...""Dexter and I haven't been on good terms." I summed it up, "He's been pretty distant because he's been focusing on his music."
"Ohh okay—well, yeah do the thing that I just said."
"Okay." I chuckled.
"I still can't believe it...have you told anybody?"
I shook my head.
"No one?! Not even your parents?"
"I was gonna tell them later on, but—" I scratched my head.
"What the hell—so you've been keeping this all to yourself?! I would've had a mental breakdown!""Yeah...its been a wave of emotions." I awkwardly laughed.
"Text him right now!" She grabbed my phone from the counter, "I wanna know what he says."I sent him a simple message as Alice looked over my shoulder, and I surprisingly got a response back:

Me: Hey
Him: What now?

"Excuse me?! Give me that!" She snatched the phone out of my hand to text him:

Me: I need to talk to you
Him: I'm practicing rn
Me: idc. It's important
Him: Everything to is important to you 😒
Me: I'm serious. Where are you?

"...he stopped responding—where does he practice at?" She snapped at me.
"U-um, usually in the band room." I said she stood up, "What did he say?"
"Get up, we're going there now." She grabbed my arm.I quickly put on some shoes and she dragged me out of my apartment, marching down the stairs in anger.
"Alice, you don't have to drag me all the way there." I reminded her. "What did you say to him?"
"You'll see when you get there—and you're gonna give him a piece of your mind!" She angrily said.A/N:
