After the first week, I haven't seen Dexter in class. I hope he's not skipping it...we have a paper to do!

When Saturday came around, I invited Eli and Alice to hang out at the local park. Since Eli was the first to show up, we sat on a bench to catch up.

"Oh, you guys never told me how the concert went." I suddenly remembered.
"Oh yeah—it was awesome! It was themed as a beach party so people were passing around giant beach balls." Eli explained. "After the first two hours, they played some hardcore metal—I could barely hear what they were saying."
"Woah...did you stay all night? It wasn't quiet until like, two in the morning."
"Hell yeah I did! You should've been there. At some point, people started climbing up and dancing on stage."

"Eli! Simon!" Alice and Kennedi yelled as they approached us. Alice wore a sports tank and shorts while Kennedi wore a frilly romper.
"Whaddup ladies?" Eli waved.
"Sup, Ken." I smiled.
"Hey, Ken and I saw this bistro place up the street. Do you guys wanna grab a bite there?" Alice asked.
"Sure, it sound good." I shrugged.

When we got there, I ordered a loaded turkey sandwich and we all sat at booth near a window. The place was bright and lively, and there was some joyful music playing in the background.

"Soo..." Alice started, "How was everyones' first week?"
"Mine was pretty chill—but my Wednesday's are gonna be hectic.
"Really, why?" Kennedi asked, taking a bite of her sandwich.
"Well—I got statistics at ten to eleven, then I got English at eleven to twelve-thirty, then I got two p.m. classes: one at two-thirty to three-thirty, and another at five to seven."
"Damn, that's a lot—plus it's on hump day." Alice added.

"That makes it even worse! I might change it though." Eli said with a mouth full of food.
"Dude, you say that every semester." I replied as the girls giggled. "You say your gonna change it, then next thing you know, 'oh Simon, can you help me study for the final? I need to pass this class!'."
"Aye—listen, I will do it this time." He quickly said, "In fact, I'll bet money on that."
"Really? For dropping a class?" Kennedi raised an eyebrow.

"No-no-no, let him bet on it." I raised a hand, "how much are we talking?"
"Ok, so if I don't drop a class by next week and I come to you for help, I'll owe you...ten bucks."
"Fifteen." I wagered.
"...alright fifteen—only if, I don't drop it." He agreed.
"So dumb..." Alice rolled her eyes.
"What? I think it's a good bet." I shrugged, "All I know is, that I'm about to be fifteen dollars richer."
"Aw come on, man. Have some faith in me."

"What about you, Simon?" Kennedi asked.
"Well, I got creative writing, regular English, calculus, accounting and—oh, that reminds me." I pulled my phone out of my pocket.

"...who are you texting?" Eli asked.
"My partner from my economics class. I forget to text him last Wednesday."
"Oh...so you have five classes?" Alice asked. "I've got five, too."
"Me too." Kennedi added.
"I got seven, what the hell?" Eli threw his hands up.

Suddenly, three dark figures walked past our window and the girls jumped up.
"That's them!" Alice exclaimed. They both ran outside, as well as the other girls in the restaurant.

"Uh...what's going on? Who are they?" I asked Eli.
"That's the band the played last weekend. The girls love 'em bro." He explained. "Wanna check 'em out?"
I shrugged then turned to a waitress, "Hey, can we get some to-go boxes?"

After we packed our things, we walked out to the shrieking crowd outside; they brought so much attention in just under two minutes!
"Jesus Christ..."
"I know right." Eli said.
"Everyone quiet down and listen up!" One of the guys yelled. "A week from today, we'll be performing in the field to celebrate the SPCA fundraiser! Don't forget—at six to ten. After the show, my bro and rest of us will have a meet and greet just for the ladies."
