Trisha was in her own dilemma that she completely forgot that her sister was also getting married , she went to talk her. She opened her room to find her sister lying on the bed smiling and typing something on the phone. To grab her attention she cleared her throat and this scared an unprepared Meghna as she  dropped her phone on her face
" Ouh hey sorry didn't see you" she picked up her phone and sat up
" Yes I can see that somebody is in their own world" she teased poking her elbow at her sister
" Trish this guy is so funny and cute" she said
" I'm happy for you sis" she smiled

The engagement ceremony for both the bride and groom was set to happen in the evening. The Balan family were preparing their house to host the ceremony, all the walls in the house were decorated with bright marigold flowers . In the entrance Kausalya drew a colourful rangoli kolam for welcoming the guests

The sister's were getting ready in their respective rooms . Downstairs Mr.Balan sat in the hall to drink his coffee when an unexpected guest entered, it was Dev
" Sir , sorry for coming without notice but before the engagement I need to talk to your daughter"
" Ofcourse son, sure she's upstairs the second room on the left. She's getting ready" he told

Dev quickly walked up the stairs, he knocked on the door and Trisha opened
" You?!" Trisha wondered what's this guy doing outside my room

"Chill, don't get your hopes high!. The groom didn't sneak and come here to see the bride, spoke to your dad and he showed me your room" he replied casually leaning on the dresser

" Okay, now what do you want" she asked seriously

" When we first spoke you told me you aren't getting married but now what happened? " He asked sarcastically raising a brow

She kept mum focusing on her hair braiding it, she was confused . Should I tell him all that I feel or should I pretend like I'm interested , will he get offended

" Is it possible that you forgot everything when you looked at me and said yes" he gave a silly grin

" ofcourse not! , You're tall and fair with coloured eyes like that chai wala. Every chai wala in Pakistan looks like that I've heard. My kind is a dusky man with a husky voice " she winked at him

" Which you definitely aren't"

When she winked at him he lost his balance a bit maybe because his heart skipped a bit
" did you, you little rascal" he cursed himself mentally. Coughing and adjusting his shirt collar he again regained his posture

" Me too I don't like girls who have straight hair and small nose" he scoffed

" My nose isn't small it's cute " she replied back taking no offense

" I'm getting late and I think you should leave now but with all honesty I think the people of your family are good people and that's one of the reason for me to agree when my dad requested me to get married you" she answered honestly

As she walked him to the door , she slowly closed it on his face and he stood there not knowing what to feel. Usually when he talks to any girl she would always giggle at his silly jokes and funny antics but ofcourse there were girls like her who never cared , so she's the second type he thought and she isn't being forced into this marriage and that's all that mattered to him

As both the sister's got ready slowly their close relatives gathered and they waited for the Groom side. Mr.Ganesh's family entered the house and the bride's family welcomed them traditionally , they all sat comfortably on the indian mat stretched beautifully on the floor, both the brothers were wearing green silk shirt and white silk dhoti and the sister's were brought down wearing pink silk saree with beautiful gold ornaments making them steal all the attention

As the brides were made to sit opposite to the grooms Trisha locked eyes with Dev for a brief moment and she felt his moments gaze too intent, Trisha was a girl who had never shied away from anything, but the burning gaze from his emerald eyes gave her a tingling feeling and her cheeks turned pink not due to anger but due to shyness, she first time felt shy looking into a man's eyes.
Dev didn't realize that he was gazing into his Bride's eyes that was more than necessary but he couldn't tear away , he only realized that they aren't alone but surrounded by family and friends when she looked away and broke the trance.
Looking around and absorbing his surrounding he found his brother and his to be sister in law looking into each other's eyes and sharing a deep eyelock and it made him crack up, he couldn't see past his brother's funny behavior and antics that he found it funny when he was trying to romance a female.
The engagement ceremony was done in the most traditional way, the priest read out the family names and the name of both the grooms and the brides and then finally read out the auspicious date for the wedding.
