Dating Dev had its perks Trisha thought, he was a man who was spontaneous and happy yet still distant, distant to her feelings . Trisha really didn't want to be the woman who'll teach the meaning of love but here she was with him maybe because their relationship had been established even before they could understand if this will work but that's what arranged marriages are, you will learn to love your spouse. Trisha had so many chances to leave Dev to be in his own little pathetic state but she didn't do that maybe It's because of the love she had for him or because she actually valued their relationship even when Dev thought it was nothing, she had started to accept the flaws within him but is this what a relationship is for, to only give ?. She Was washing the dishes and thinking of their life, Dev had noticed a zoned out Trisha and he slowly walked up to her . He hugged her from behind and his act startled her making the cup in her hand fall down but he catches it and places it down. He turned her around to face him
" In some deep thought " he raised his brow

"It's nothing" she dismissed

"Sure? " He questioned her

" Yup" she nodded and he leaves . This is what she understood they lacked, though they were only in the dating phase Dev was being oblivious to her feelings and this why maybe he didn't believe in relationships. It was only him for him though he's caring he was selfish , he wasn't able to understand the feelings of people around him. Taking a deep breath and exhaling out she left the train of thoughts to vanish away

The project completion was going faster than what Dev had expected so he was more immersed in it than before, sometimes he would sit in his laptop at late hours to do some work and he would always find a flask of coffee in the dining table for him. The same way he woke up only to find her sitting in the dining chair and thinking deep about something, something is bothering her definitely he thought.
" Heyy " he touched her cheeks and she came back to reality
" Heyy you didn't sleep" he asked rubbing her soft cheek
" No just a little home sick " she answered looking up at him
" Just a month left for me and two months for you" he assured her. Dev didn't miss the sadness and confusion in her eyes, for sure something is bothering her he thought

The next day Dev decided to take the metro with Trisha, he told her he had work around the same place and they went. Trisha stopped outside the cafe to wave at Max, she smiled at Dev and headed to her class. Dev had all the way come from home to talk to Max but now he didn't want to. Serving the customer seated near the glass window Max noticed a hesitant Dev contemplating about something , he couldn't help but open the door and invite him for a coffee

"So, what brings you here"

" Trisha... I mean Trisha and me"

" You and Trisha, do you know that you don't deserve Trisha" Max told the one thing that he didn't want to tell out but he did it crisp and clearly

" Ok and why? " Dev kept his calm and he was only curious to know why

" You've broken her heart quite a few times and all that girl did was fall in love with you"

"That girl never shows it when she's hurt, only if you could open your eyes and give some attention you'll know"

Dev kept his anger in control because he understood that this guy actually cares for Trisha so he didn't want to argue with Trisha's friend and hurt her and he actually had some truth in his claims

Trisha was heading home from class via metro and her mobile phone buzzed and to her utter surprise it was Jennifer, the Jennifer that pounced on Dev like a dog that saw red meat and that's when she realised that Dev had said the same thing about her on his party. So these desperate girls were actually doing it, pouncing on him and that's what made him think like that, Trisha was still so disappointed about his words that day.
She opened her whatsapp message:

Trisha , I am messaging you to apologise for the shameful act that I have done. I know I'm late but this is to ease my conscience. Dev isn't to be mistaken that day. I had understood him completely wrong and made the cheap move. I am deeply ashamed and sorry - Jennifer

Trisha naturally became annoyed at the message but atleast she has the decency to apologise she thought , an ok was all that she sent as a reply

Finally I've written a new one, hope I can entertain you guy, do vote and comment :)
