My eyes are practically bulging out of my eyes, the excitement is too much. I'm living, I'm truly living and it feels too good. The sun rising and at first look from a distance, almost red orange bringing out that mixture of colour, whilst giving me that magical feel which I'm a part of, the cool but chilly air has showered me with my first outer breath and the sea is too beautiful with its rhythmic movements.
Nothing about a moment like this is real, it's like being transported into another world, a world of imagination, a world of true worth for living and just a moment of honesty, captivating both mind and soul.
Connor kept his word and today is just about us, well more about me living again, taking my first big breath and just being me all over again. Connor had told me that he didn't want to take me to those big fancy places yet, but more of the small overlooked beautiful and intimate places, for me to get the feel of the beauty of being outside, together for the first time.
"Let's make a quick stop somewhere first." He says.
" Um okay." I try to relax but for some reason I'm kinda nervous.
You know the whole not knowing what to expect type of thing.
It takes a minute for my mind to register that we have stopped, I feel his eyes on me. I turn to look at him and that's when I notice how intense his eyes have gotten, reminding me so much of the first time our eyes met.
" You're really beautiful." I swear that my cheeks warm up and I look away, trying to avoid that look of admiration on his face. Looking up again, my eyes catch on to the boutique right behind him through the window.
I frown in confusion. " Shopping?" I ask.
Connor gets out of the car, coming over to my side. He holds out his hand for me to take. " Come on."
I take his hand and soon enough he leads me to the boutique, I won't lie and say I'm not nervous because I am, it's been quite a while since I've gone shopping, I usually just online shop, just to save myself the trouble.
Entering inside, the sound of the bell dings, indicating our arrival and sure enough we earn peoples attention.
Oh my, eyes, not a fan of those.
Avoiding everyone's eyes, I notice a really cute light blue sundress at a distance, I let go of his hand walk over to take a good look at it. It's obviously short and lengthens just above the knee, it has a bit of an open back and the skirt part is almost plitted.
It's been so long since I've worn a dress, well excluding that time I went out to my first mini dance with Connor, dresses have always been a constant battle for my mind to wrap around the fact, that I could pull off a dress.
It's either I was too skinny, maybe the dress would make me look down on myself or maybe someone looked way better in it then I did. Insecurities had always found a way of preventing me from buying one.
I guess I found comfort in tights and jeans, they would earn me less eyes and make me feel less conflicting emotions.
" Do you like it?" Connor asks, snapping me out of my thoughts.
" Yes." I say in almost a whisper.
"Okay then, let's buy it," he says, already holding up the dress.
" No, no. Let's leave it for someone who deserves it more." I say, trying to walk past but he holds on to my hand.
" And you don't? "
" No." I say shortly.
" That's bullshit," he argues.
"Language." I warn.
