It was like the soup cupboard incident all over again. My father let me out when that happened. I doubted he would let me out this time. This time was scarier because I didn't know how I was going to escape. I prayed for a maths god to let me out and I prayed that Mr Hegarty would find me.

*Fart noises*

I heard some very strange noises in that closet. I even smelt strange things... Things such as onion.

"Better out than in"

"Hello?" I called out with a weak, petty voice.

"Hello there." Someone said with a very sexy Scottish accent.

"Shrek?" I said, not loud enough for him to hear.

Shrek ripped the closet door off and put his shrexy green face opposite mine.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" The handsome green ogre bellowed into my delicate ears.

"Doesn't matter... Why are you here Shrek?" I presumed he was here for my father but it confused me - why did he save me?

"Your father was doing some weird ass Shrek summoning but I can't be arsed to talk to that dick so I thought I would look around and then I heard you talking to yourself about some soup cupboard." Papi Shrek explained in great detail.

"Ah, okay. Well thanks for saving me we'll have to uh call sometime yeah?"

"Yeah."

After Shrek said that he smiled at me, snapped his fingers and disappeared. I could still smell onions.

I slowly and quietly walked away so I didn't disturb my father

I slowly and quietly walked away so I didn't disturb my father. I was extremely confused as to why Shrek saved me but I wasn't going to argue about it. I needed to get to Mr Hegarty and I needed to tell him what happened, I knew he would keep me safe.

I walked out the door and closed it gently but one of the rusty hinges creaked.

"WHO DARES TO MAKE NOISE WHEN I AM SUMMONING SHREK?" It was my father. He heard me.

I ran all the way to Mr Hegarty's flat and didn't even stop when a scary group of roadmen tried to shank me up.

"COLIN!" I shouted.

"FARQUAAD, ARE YOU OKAY? COME INSIDE!"

Without thinking I ran inside, eager to escape my wicked father.
