Connor-She can't see you. She can't ever see you.
"Connor," She'd say when you were younger.
"Stop talking whoever you are." I tell the voice.
"She's the girl you love. The girl you made a mistake with. That girl. What's her name?"
"Shut up!" I yell at the voice.
"Tell me the name."
"No," I grid my teeth.
"Please?"
"No,"
"NOW!" Screams the voice.
*****
"Clair!" I shout. I huff and puff and realize that I'm alone in the living room. The blankets are wet with my sweat.
"Connor?" I hear Felicity say. She sits by the window and she comes over to me. "What's wrong?"
"N-nothing." I said quickly.
"Connor," she said as she touched my forehead. "You can tell me."
"I might," I start. I exhale.
"It's okay," she says as she gives me a hug. She kisses my forehead and starts to walk away.
"Felicity," I ask. She turns around and smile. "Remember when we were kids and I would have nightmares?"
"Yes, and id sleep in your bed."
"Can you," I start. She smiles and walks into my arms.
"It will be okay Connor." She whispers. "Shh, just sleep."
*****
Dan-
I feel for her at my side and find the bed empty. I shoot up and look around the room.I get up and walk into the living room and find Felicity and Connor on the couch fast asleep.
I smile and kiss her forehead.
Felicity-
I slide my boots on and take a deep breath in. This is it. Today's the day you finally meet your dad.I stand up and look in the mirror. I chose my black shirt and black skinny jeans and my hair is curled just the way I like it.
"Beautiful." I hear from behind me. I turn and see Dan in the corner of my room.
He leans up against the oak door and I smile at him. "Thanks."
"I'm not lying." He said as he started to approach me.
"Never implied that I thought otherwise." I say to him. He smiles.
"Always a smart talker,"
"Always a smart ass,"
"Hey," he said, pulling me into him. "Who said I was a smart ass?"
I stare into his eyes and he smiles. "I did."
I grab him by the neck and pull him into my kiss. He cringes.
Suddenly he becomes aware of his reaction to the kiss. "That's not what the cringe was for, it was the neck."
"Don't be a pussy!" I say to him. I step back into the walk and he stares at me in disbelief.
"I'm not a pussy," he stands his ground.
I lean forward a little to put enthuses on what I'm about to say. "Prove it."
