"Oli!"
Sierra immediately threw her arms around Oli the moment they arrived at their house. Oli smiled as he hugged her back, even somehow forgetting that he was with his sister and his mom.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Sierra sheepishly apologized the moment she realized Oli's family, "Uhm, hi po sa inyo! I'm Sierra, I'm Oli's friend, I mean for me, he's my best friend."
Oli's mother, Arabella Eurydice smiled genuinely at Sierra and gave her a kiss on the cheek as a greeting, "Nice to meet you too, Sierra. I'm Arabella Eurydice, Oli's mother."
"Hi, Sierra!" Oli's younger sister, Skylar Reese, also enthusiastically introduced, "I'm Sky, I'm Kuya Oli's sister. Kuya has been talking about you a lot of times." Sky winked at her and Sierra laughed. Oli nudged his sister's arm, embarrassed.
"Anak, nandiyan na ba sila? Your mom is still preparing the table..." Sierra's father, Jacob, who didn't know that their visitors arrived yet, started and his voice trailed off the moment he saw Oli and his family. But Oli specifically noticed Sierra's father staring at his mother. Eury looked stunned too to see Sierra's dad. It seems like the two knew each other.
"Dad..." Sierra broke the silence awkwardly, "This is Orion Lincoln, my best friend from New York that I told you... and this is his family, Mrs. Arabella Eurydice Velasco and Sky Velasco. Everyone, this is my father, Isaac Jacob Evans."
All of them noticed Jacob Evans forming a smile - while still looking at Arabella Eurydice Velasco.
"It has been a long time since we last saw each other, Eury," Jacob uttered and all of them, except Eury Velasco, looked confused. It seemed that Jacob and Eury knew each other.
Oli's mom smiled and giggled, "Yes, the last time we saw each other was when I'm still very pregnant with my second child. It's good to see you again, Jake."
"Kuya, is it just me..." Sky whispered to her brother, "That I feel a spark between them... like they were past lovers or something. He even calls mom's nickname and she called him Jake."
"Uhm, pumasok na po tayo," It was Sierra again who broke the awkward silence. Her dad and Oli's mom were literally just smiling and staring at each other.
After that, all of them proceeded to enter inside the house, behind, was Oli and Sierra following the others.
"I didn't know they knew each other," Oli told her and Sierra giggled, wrapping her arm around his.
"This is why we're meant to be friends for sure," She replied, "Our parents say it all."
"You're the only one who thinks we're friends," Oli teased. Sierra playfully slapped his arm, "As I remember, I don't want my 103 friends in FB to become 104."
"Hindi ka pa rin nakakamove-on diyan sa fb friends mo ha!"
It was now his turn to laugh. Ginulo naman ni Oli ang buhok niya.
"It's good to see you again, too, Shie."
Sierra smiled at him, "And I miss you."
