Sierra smiled when she noticed Oli was staring at the bracelet she was wearing on her wrist. It was a golden necklace with little stars surrounding the chains. After the little dinner they had earlier and a little chitchat at the nearby cafe, inihatid siya ni Oli papauwi sa village nila. They were just currently walking around the family park inside the village.

"I love your gift," She told him, pertaining the bracelet that Oli gave her as a christmas gift. Oli looked away, embarrassed.

"I just didn't expect... uhm, you would be wearing that tonight," He said and Sierra giggled.

"I'd love to wear it every day, long distance pa naman ang friendship natin. The bracelet will make me feel you're always here with my physically."

Oli looked at her again, somehow a little bit surprised but then gave her a warm smile.

"I'm glad that you like it," He told her, smiling. She offered her hand to him, in which, he accepted it and intertwined their fingers. Naupo naman silang dalawa sa bakantang upuan sa gilid nila. There were a lot of benches surrounding the park, in the middle, an circular fountain was located.

"If nakapasa lang ako for the Victoria's Secret, I might be in New York now, with you," Sierra started while looking at the fountain. Oli sighed, tightening his grip on her hand.

"Even if we're countries apart, we're still best friends," Oli said. Sierra looked at him, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Finally that you admitted, rather, accepted that we're best friends."

Oli shook his head and looked at her in amusement, "I guess... I just can't resist you."

Sierra let out a hearty laugh, "You know, here I thought you were this type of guy who's silent and enjoys solitude."

"I'm still silent when I don't like the people around me and I still like being alone - but you're a special case."

"I'm a special case 'cause I'm your best friend," Sierra added and Oli playfully rolled her eyes at her.

"By the way, is it okay..." She was now drawing circles on his palm, "There was an agent, actually kakilala siya ni Mom, they sort of want me to be a commercial model for a certain brand, I think it was for Samsung Philippines..."

"Do you want to do it?"

"I don't know... maybe. I'm even thinking it could be a break for me. I mean an opportunity? Maybe this can help me, I like modelling but I'm also open to other things. Do you think I'll be fit to join the entertainment industry? Like being an actress. My mom had also been acting and did some movies when she was young. She was a sort of celebrity here..."

"If you think that will make you happy then go for it, I'm still going to support you, Shie."

Sierra looked at him and playfully pinched his nose, "You really love me, don't you?"

Napatigil naman ito matapos ang sinabi niya then he chuckled and shook his head, "We're best friends, we support each other. I'm also going to Africa for a project from one of my archaeology class, this March, for a month," He said.

"How are we going to talk?" She asked him, feeling a little bit confused.

"We'll just hope there's going to be an internet where I'd stay."

"You'd probably forget about me."

"You're too annoying and persistent with the friendship thing, I'll always remember you."

Kinurot naman ni Sierra ang tagiliran nito at natawa na lang din.

"Well, we'll find a way," She held his hand again, realizing her hand was smaller than his, "You're going back to New York tomorrow."

"Yes, sa New York kami magcecelebrate ng new year."

"I'll miss you. Matagal na naman tayo hindi magkikita," She told him sincerely. Oli smiled, staring at their hands holding each other.

"I'm going to be back on your birthday."

"Matagal pa."

"I'm always going to go back to the Philippines, Shie," Sierra giggled again and suddenly hugged him.

"I know... or maybe, I can go to New York and visit you during your birtbday," She told him, still hugging each other.

"You're going to be busy... with your career."

"You're my best friend, I'll find time," She hugged him more tightly, closing her eyes, "I wish you're always here."

"I'll miss you, Sierra," Oli suddenly told her. She started to sob silently.

"Are you crying?"

"No, let's just hug."
