Sierra was holding her cup of coffee while looking at the city on their unit's balcony. It was still 5:30 in the morning and the city beneath her looked peaceful. She smiled at the sight. Julien, her boyfriend, was still fast asleep at their bed.

She stopped when she felt her phone vibrating in the pocket of the white robe she was wearing. Kinuha naman niya iyon at nakitang tumatawag sa kanya si Oli. She was surprised at first and she smiled again. It's been months since she heard about him. Sa pagkakaalam niya kasi, Oli was busy with his research about ancient Egypt. As what she remembered during their last call, Oli is going to stay at the country for a year. Madalang na lang din sila nagkakausap dahil parehas na silang busy sa kani-kanilang career.

"Hi."

She felt her heart skipped a beat the moment she heard her voice again.

"Oli, hi..." She replied, smiling from ear to ear. She was happy deep inside when she heard his voice again.

"I miss you, Shie..." Oli suddenly said on the other line. Then there was a sudden cold breeze of air, she then tucked the strand of hair behind her ear, smiling even more.

"I miss you too, Oli," She laughed a little. Narinig din naman niya ang mahinang pagtawa nito.

"How's Egypt?" She asked. Napabuntong-hininga naman ito.

"It's okay. I've been busy and my team has been engaging with the research thoroughly, how about you? How's everything?"

She then told him everything, her current tv series, her upcoming projects as an actreess and some brand endorsements. She really missed talking with her best friend about anything.

"I'm proud of you, Sierra," Oli suddenly said, "Naalala ko pa noon, when we were still young, you always want to become a fashion model..."

She giggled, "Yes, it's silly. I always thought na magiging Victoria Secret model ako in the future but then I'd never expect that I would become an actress now."

"I just know you're going to be successful, I always believe in you," Oli replied to her. Natahimik naman si Sierra dahil sa sinabi nito. Napangiti na lang siya ulit.

"Ang tagal na nating magkaibigan 'no? It's been seven years since we became friends. I still could remember the first time we met, when you brought me flowers while I was at the New York City starbucks..."

Natawa rin ito dahil sa sinabi niya, "I still do. It was one of my best memories."

"Saka nga pala, how's you and Millie? I'm so happy for both of you, diba next month, six years na kayo? Congrats! I hope I could hear the wedding bells soon," She tried to be enthutiastic. But she's really happy for her best friend. Oli is a kind guy, he deserves so much love in this world - and for her, maybe, Millie is the best woman for him.

Natahimik naman ito bigla.

Then he started, his voice soft, "We broke up already. Five months ago."

Sierra felt silent again, "Why?"

"We just knew... it wasn't right. It wasn't right in the first place..." Oli answered.

"Hey, honey, good morning," Sierra felt Julien giving a kiss on her neck, as a sign of greeting. Ngumiti naman siya rito and Julien mouthed her that he'll cook breakfast.

"Your new boyfriend?" Oli suddenly asked. She felt hesitant but answered him yes.

"His name is Julien. We've been dating for a year already, we're living together..." She simply answered him. Natahimik na naman ito ulit.

"I'm happy for you then, Shie. If you're happy then I'm happy too," He said. But his voice sounded different... it seemed like he was in pain.

"It's already midnight here, I have to sleep," He added. Sierra stiffled a light laugh.

"Sure, of course. I'm going to help Julien na rin for our breakfast."

"Okay."

"Okay," She repeated, smiling.

"I love you, Shie..." Then he suddenly said. Natahimik naman siya dahil sa sinabi nito. She smiled again, knowing he meant it as a friend, nothing else.

"Take care, Oli," She replied and Oli ended their call.
