Eurydice opened their home's door when the doorbell rang, behind her was her husband, Archer Nevyn. Tumambad naman sa paningin nila ang anak. Their son, Orion Lincoln, looked disheveled. His hair, his clothes, everything on him was a mess.

"Ma, Pa," Oli started as he immediately hugged both of them. Oli cried on their arms again. Eury tended to her son, whispering everything's going to be alright.

Eurydice smiled when she saw her son sitting on the chair in his room's balcony. It was still very early in the morning. The sun was still setting up.

"Anak, coffee?" She asked the moment she was near him. Napangiti naman ito sa kanya at tinanggap ang kape na ginawa niya para rito. Then she took a chair and sat beside her son. He seemed calm.

"She's getting married," Oli started. Eury stopped for a second, realizing he was pertaining to her best friend, Sierra Evans.

"Have you told her that you love her?" She asked her son. Ito naman ang napatigil. Napabuntong-hininga naman ito.

She knew, since from the start, she always knew that her son loves his best friend, not just any kind of love for friendship - but for a lover. From the beginning, when she accompanied him during the Christmas lunch with the Evans family, she always notices the way Oli looks at Sierra.

Oli shook his head, "It's no use anymore. Besides, I've said some hurtful things to her... She'll hate me because of it."

"Sometimes, we say things out of hand because we're overwhelmed with too much emotions. But then, we can always repent and ask forgiveness. That's how it works."

Both of them drank the cup of coffee they were holding.

"Anak, do you want her to be happy?"

Oli was silent for a moment and nodded.

"That's what I always wanted from the start, Ma, her happiness... Even though it will hurt me, even though it'll cause me pain so much that sometimes I couldn't bear anymore, I rather be miserable so that she could be happy in her life."

Eury looked at her son and smiled at him proudly, "I'm proud of you, anak."

Then she hugged her son. Oli hugged his mother back tightly, like he was in a safe place.

"You need to talk to her."
