"Hey, sorry I'm late." Legosi looked up from his menu, seeing you hurry over to where he sat. He waved his hands.

"N-no, it's no trouble. I haven't been here too long." He notices your rather disheveled appearance. "Um, [Name]-senpai, did something happen?" You looked away, blushing.

"Um..."

"Louis, let go already! I have to meet up with Legosi in a few minutes!"

"Mmnnnoo...can't you stay longer?"

"I'll cuddle with you later, just wait alright?!"

"You can go after round two~"

"Louis was clingy today." You said after a long moment of silence. Legosi frowned, but accepted your answer. You sat across from him, looking at the menu and ordering a drink. "So, what do you want to talk about today?"

"Oh. Ah, well..." Legosi fumbled. You rose a brow, watching him internally struggle. "I just wanted to see you again, is that okay?" You nod, taking a minute to observe the wolf. He hasn't changed much since the last time you saw him, which in your opinion is a good thing. You chatted about a few things, nothing particularly important to note. After you both finished your meal, you decided to head back to the academy with Legosi. You had a few things to take care of after all. You had waved to a few of the students as you passed them by, but your focus was mostly on something else.

The whole reason you came to the academy in the first place. Legosi followed behind you slowly, finding the rather serious atmosphere around you worrying.

"[Name]-senpai? Where are we going?"

"Somewhere you and I are both familiar with." The wolf perks up, taking a second to realize what it was that you meant. You had led him back to the scene of Tem's murder. Without missing a beat, you let yourself in, Legosi following after a brief moment. The scene was still the same as it was the first time you came here. You got straight to work, glossing over the parts you had already figured out. You slowly and meticulously inspected every inch, jotting down some notes mentally.

"[Name]-senpai?" You didn't reply, too focused on the task. Legosi watched as you carefully moved yourself closer to the desk, tracing a finger on the wood.

"Hmmm, looks like this got moved." You looked up, staring past Legosi, who flinched at your gaze. "If he tripped down the stairs, then odds are he backed up into this, which would explain why the desk got moved." You pointed a finger as you talked, tracing it down to where you were kneeling. "Claw marks running at least three to four inches deep on the entry door. An excessive amount of force used to get them open too...I think we can rule out the possibility of it being an herbivore." You looked back at Legosi. "Do you know anyone that could've had it out for Tem?" He shakes his head. You click your tongue, pulling out the list of suspects. You still had a couple you hadn't crossed out yet. Your eyes scanned across the list, none of them stood out among the rest. You sigh, standing up and rubbing your head. "Damn, I'll need more info before I'm able to take a guess." You turn your head towards Legosi. "Come on, there's not much else we can do here." As you both turned ro leave, you wait for Legosi to disappear through the double doors. Crossing your arms, you call out to the empty lecture hall.

"I know you're there." Silence, then the sound of slithering draws your attention.

"Interesting, I expect nothing less from one of the most accomplished assassins in the Market." You watch as an absolutely monstrous snake drops down from one of the rafters. They use their tail to pick up a cap that had fallen along with them.
