The lions all stare at you, while you glared back defiantly. Something had to happen though, you could feel yourself slipping from your wound. You also had no plan for getting the two off of Legosi. Free stepped closer, stopping when you brandished your knife.

"[Name], we all know that you won't last long with that bullet wound." You grit your teeth.

"You shouldn't underestimate someone like me, Free." He chuckles.

"True, but you saw how the new boss acts. It's either this or we all die."

"And you're just gonna listen to the lunatic?! To hell with that!"

"We don't have a choice!" Free shouted back. You both glared at each other, neither side willing to give up. "We don't have any ill feelings towards you [Name], only for the wolf." He steps close enough to put a hand on your shoulder. "Just look at yourself. We both know you're stalling for time."

"..." Dammit...With extreme reluctance, you dropped the knife, fully committing to stopping the bleeding from your injury. Free nodded, and Agata restrained and removed the rest of your gear as the other two brought Legosi over. You met Legosi's gaze, two panicked eyes staring back into yours. You shook your head. You were out of cards to play...feels like you never got any good hands dealt to you in life.

The lions loaded you into their van, driving you and Legosi out to a cliffside by the sea. They dragged the wolf out, with you following behind the group. They pulled a chair from the back, seating Legosi and tying his arms and legs. You watched as they poured quick drying cement into a bucket and set his feet in it, knocking to make sure it dried.

"We don't know why you two have been pursuing boss, but you can leave the rest to us. We've figured out his weakness. It won't be easy, he's a hard bastard to pin down, but we'll get him sooner or later. Any last words before we drop you?" He looked past the lions to you.

'You knew this would happen. This is what you get for opening yourself up and letting others in.' Your mind raced. You had denied it for the longest time, but you knew that's just how the world likes to work.

"Um..." Legosi started. You turned your attention back to the wolf. "If I come back in thirty minutes, could you tell me and [Name] his weakness then?"

"..." You all stared at the wolf. In a flurry of movement, Free frantically waved his hands in exasperation and sheer confusion. You closed your eyes and groaned.

"Do you even know what's going to happen to you?!"

"Yeah, and I'm at a total loss...If Melon can even get to [Name], then there's no way I'll be able to take him down..."

"That's not what I meant!" The lion gestured to the wolf. "You're tied to a chair, your legs are stuck in cement, and we're about to drop you off into the ocean!" He dramatically points. "You're insane!" All he gets from Legosi is a pout.

"...Is he pouting?"

"No, looks like he's holding his breath in." You bit your lip. If he was dead set on this plan, the least you could do was help him out.

"Let me talk to him." They all turned to you. "I'm injured, and you've already taken anything I could use as a weapon. What's the harm?" They all exchanged glances. All of them were doubtful and suspicious. Suddenly, you felt your arms being released, and given a gentle push.

"Agata, what-" Free started.

"I trust him. Like he said. We've got him outnumbered, what's the worst he could do?" You gave him a grateful nod. They parted to let you get close to the wolf.

"[Name]...I-" You rest a hand on his shoulder.

"...Thirty minutes, right?" He nods. "You are such a dumb wolf." His ears droop at your words. "But if you think you can do it, there's not much else I can do but trust you." You psych yourself up, before giving him a kiss right where the scar above his eye was. You close your eyes, pulling back after a few seconds, smiling. His eyes are wide. "I'll see you soon." With that, you planted a foot on the chair and kicked, sending him plummeting towards the dark ocean. A splash, and then nothing. Nothing but the crashing of waves against the rock. You stared out into the abyss, broken only when a hand landed on your shoulder.
