At school on Thursday, Kai walks to his locker on the first floor of the building. He sends a quick text to the student council about the meeting after school today concerning the Halloween fest for tomorrow night. Kai looks up and notices Rhyannon leaning against his locker. He tilts his head at him. "You're on my locker."
"Yeah, so?" Rhyannon shoves his hands into the pockets of his black jacket. "You rigged the election so I guess I can stand wherever I want."
Kai swallows, immediately wondering how Rhyannon found out about him and Jaret. They hooked up at Rhyannon's house. Does he somehow know that they left the party to go upstairs or something? Did someone else tell him that they saw Kai lead Jaret upstairs? Did JARET tell him himself? "I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."
"I'm a little disappointed." Rhyannon speaks his mind. "I figured that you'd at least find someone a little smarter to keep your secret. Jaret isn't the brightest."
"Move out of my way." Kai orders. He kind of feels like a fool for doing what he did with Jaret in order to get more votes and to make things worse, Rhyannon out of everyone finds out first. How humiliating.
"Come on, you're not even going to fess up?" Rhyannon smirks and steps closer to his old friend. "If you did cheated, you should at least take pride in it."
"So what are you going to do?" Kai doesn't back down. Just because Rhyannon knows what he did, doesn't mean Kai has to own up to it. He just wants to know what will happen to him. "Turn me in or something?"
"I haven't decided yet." Rhyannon pretends thinking. "I could blackmail you, tell Mrs. Brown about everything, humiliate you in front of the entire school..." He laughs to himself. "I guess little Kai Evans has no power."
Kai looks down at his shoes as Rhyannon leaves his locker. The more and more Kai stands here alone the more he feels badly about everything. If he forgave Rhyannon sooner, they would have never ran against each other for president. If the two of them were still friends, Rhyannon wouldn't be blackmailing him. And if his life wasn't crumbling, Kai wouldn't have hooked up with Jaret to get votes.

After kissing Luke goodbye, Anna walks into the auditorium for the results on casting. She had tried out for the role of the daughter since her parents told her she'd be a good fit. Apparently she has a childish face so the role could be perfect for her.
"How are things with Luke Booth?" Tatiana asks Anna when she gets to the stage. Tatiana is wearing a plaid skirt that stops at her knees with a long sleeved polo and tie. Her fishnet leggings have a few holes in them and her red boots match her clunky bracelets and big necklace.
"They're fine." Anna replies. She has finally calmed down about Luke. She no longer gets all giddy when someone brings up his name and she doesn't have to smile ear to ear when she walks down the hallways.
"You better watch out for him." Tatiana advises as she organizes the big binder in front of her on the ledge of the stage.
"Watch out for him?" Anna echoes, leaning in to hear more. Is there something that she doesn't know about Luke but everyone else does?
Tatiana nods her head. "He gets pretty angry."
Anna looks away as she drops her cell phone into her back pack. She already knows that Luke gets angry pretty quickly. She doesn't need Tatiana to tell her that, or anyone else for that matter. All that matters is that Luke is trying his best to get better. "How do you know?"
"I saw him one time get so mad that he punched and dented his locker." Tatiana speaks loudly, clearly not caring if anyone else hears. "He got like a C on a test or something."
"Thanks for the heads up but Luke isn't like that anymore." Anna lies. Instead of making it known that she and Luke hit a couple of rough spots in their relationship, Anna wants people to think that her and Luke are nothing but rainbows. "He calmed down, a lot."
"Are you sure?" Tatiana shoots her an uneasy look. "People still walk to the other side of the hallway when they see him coming."
Anna blinks, taking in the information. She didn't know that Luke's anger problems were this bad until now. Why didn't anyone warn her or something? "Well I don't think I have anything to worry about."
"If you say so." Tatiana faces the class as Anna takes her seat. "Alright, time to announce the lead roles."
