Shantay almost cursed Dr. Palomacki out when he had to leave her consultation for over an hour to handle some emergency situation. Then the mofo walked in with a stack of disclaimers, permission slips, and a whole lot of other bullshit.

"Look Dr. Palomacki, you don't have to go over all of these papers with me. Just tell me where to sign. I have a date with a deep-dish pizza and a pint of Coldstone Cake Batter Ice Cream while I can still eat. Do you know how hard it's gonna be not to eat after midnight?" Shantay said, trying to make small talk with the doctor as he shuffled around a pretty thick stick of papers.

"It is customary for us to review your paperwork, however, it is totally optional."

"That's great doc. I really gotta go." Shantay replied.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Dr. Palomacki asked.

"Absolutely and why would you ask me some shit like that?" Shantay asked defensively.

"I have this conversation with all of my clients."

"That's stupid. Don't you want to make your money?"

"Sure, I want to make money doing quality surgeries that help women become whole. I want women to feel better about themselves, but a slip of the knife won't fix the real problem. Actually, it will just make it worse."

Did this nigga have a crystal ball or something? Shantay thought to herself.

"Well Doc, this surgery is all about me and what I want."

"My goal is to ensure you are taking care of yourself as a woman and it seems you have your mind made up so, just sign here, here, and here. Then, here and here."

"Is that it Doc?"

"Yes, that's it and remember – you have until 10 am tomorrow morning if you want to change your mind or review these papers." Doctor Palomacki cautioned.

"I don't know where you get off acting like you don't want my money, so if it's all the same to you; I'll see you tomorrow."

"Sure thing, Shantay. The doctor relented. Get some rest, remember the rules, and I'll see you tomorrow.

Poor Baby, he thought. She couldn't buy a clue.

"See what I mean B. This bitch is forever trying to get over. She had us think she was dying. Dying! That isn't just a white lie. That's an elephant of a lie and worse, he has been calling my daughter with this shit. She prays every night for her Auntie TayTay to get better and the bitch is lying. "

"Damn, I should have listened to you. Call me stupid for thinking a leopard could change their spots."

"You were always the gullible one." Vanessa laughed.

"Oh, shut up. She had your ass too." Brenda laughed as the Amaretto began to lighten her mood.

"Yep, I have to admit; Shantay almost got by me with this one," Vanessa admitted.

"When did she get so fucked up, B? We shared everything we had with her. She had to know the buck would stop eventually." Brenda returned.

"No, she didn't." Vanessa returned. "That's why she's so fucked up right now."

"That's right Brenda, it's all our fault for being nice to her ass."

"You can say that again," Brenda said as she reached for her ringing cell phone.

"Here we go. It's our friend." She said to Vanessa.

"Answer the phone and make sure you turned on your recorder."
