I stood there silently for a minute after Dominic said that, knowing exactly what he was saying. I was to do no more than scare Phoenix into line by Dominic's tone, I knew that if this scare tactic didn't work then Phoenix was a marked man. I've worked for Dominic since 2011, and Phoenix started a year after me. I started working for him before he partnered with Mandy. Mandy brought out a dark side of Dominic I didn't know existed.
" What would you have me do sir?" I asked, my tone flat and hoping that he didn't want anything extreme.
"Go to Wales. You'll know more when you get there." Dominic's eyes locked on mine and for a minute, it felt as though there was a battle of wills. Part of me wanted to ask more questions right then and there, but more of me knew better. I turned on my heel and walked out of his office, making my way out of the building to get to the London City Airport Jet Centre. The ride was short and upon arrival, I was on the jet in 90 seconds on my way to Wales.
