I spent the rest of the day sleeping as last night I had gone to sleep at about 1 in the morning, I didn’t even realise. I had weird dreams this time, they weren’t about the fire in my veins or anything else that had happened, they were about the demon I was meant to kill. It was the first time I had seen him. He looked normal, his hair was black and his eyes were blue, like mine but everything about him, his stance, his expression, felt evil. In the dream I was facing him but it was almost as if he couldn’t see me.
He started talking but not in any language I had heard before, must be a demon language. After a few sentences I started to understand what he was saying.
“…has nearly come, do you think I am ready?” I turned around to see another demon looking right through me at him. She looked about my age, with blood red eyes and hair as black as night.
“Yes you are ready but there is still the group of rebels. They won’t let you kill the angels”
“Have them locked up then” He shouted. I noticed his eyes starting to go black.
“Abaddon, there are too many of them. You will just have to leave them behind and bring the rest of the army with you” she said as she walked into his open arms and hugged him. Odd, I never thought a demon could love anyone other than themselves.
“Thank you, Lilita, you always know how to calm me down… I’ve seen her…”
“What? Who have you seen?”
“The angel. In my dreams I see her training, but that’s only happened once, and sometimes I wonder if she is watching me” I had the sudden urge to laugh at this point, this man in front of me is so innocent sounding. If you didn’t know who we were you would think we were twins or something. I laughed and they suddenly looked in my direction. Shit, can they see me if I make a sound?
“Err can you see me?” Here I am, the angel born to kill the demon in front of me and that is the first thing I say.
“Yes we can” Abaddon said before he ran to attack me. I put my arms up and sent fire at him expecting him to hit me. I put my arms down and opened my eyes to see him reaching out with a confused expression. I looked down at his hands and they were going right through me.
Lex!
“What?”
“I guess you’re in a dream right now and we can’t kill each other yet”
“Yup, did you just here that?”
“What?”
“Someone just called my name” Lex! Wake up! Before I could say anything else my eyes were opening and I was back in my room again. Nate, Angelus and a new angel I hadn’t met yet were standing over me. I saw my sheets on the floor, black from me burning them.
“Woah, well that was weird”
“Seriously?! Lex I came here with your trainer to find you talking in your sleep and your sheets on fire! What the hell were you dreaming about?” shouted Nate.
