"wait what?"

"that's pretty much what happened." kat said, sitting back in her chair, taking a sip of her slushie. astrid was sitting with her mouth wide open as she processed all the information that kat just told her. "so let me get this straight." astrid began.

"after i was hospitalized, rue ended up in rehab, then when she got out she met a girl named jules, who she's madly in love with. nate and maddy broke up, mckay and cassie are a thing, and you lost your virginity...?" astrid listed off quickly. kat nodded with a slight smirk on her face. "a guy at saint mary's."

"you fuck private school boys? go kat!" astrid cheered as she danced in her seat. the two were sitting in the food court of the mall catching up on all the things they missed out on. "they" being astrid. it felt good to have someone to talk to after everything. it was a lot for astrid to process, but she's glad to have someone there. "i'm loving this new kat, muy bonita!" astrid laughed. "thank you!" kat said with a wide smile.

"i feel empowered, y'know? like i'm always on top of the world. i fucking love it." she smiled. astrid chucked, and nodded. "well, i fucking love it for you." she stated. astrid took a brief pause before leaning in slowly and looking up at kat. "so, nate and maddy?" astrid whispered.

"i knew you were going to ask about that!" kat laughed. "my girl got the hots for jacobs" she smirked. astrid rolled her eyes and laughed softly. "just fill me in bitch!" she said. "okay, okay!" 

kat began, "so it all started at mckay's party."

FLASHBACK TO THE PARTY

nate walked into the party like he was worth a million bucks, because quite frankly, he was. he carried himself with such swagger, his bold gaze patrolling around the party, he was looking for maddy. he had beads of sweat forming along his forehead from the fuming anger building up within him.

he staggered through the crowds of dancing bodies and into the kitchen. he felt eyes on him as he stumbled in. he looked around and analyzed his surroundings, the best that a drunken teenager could, he noticed that people were whispering. he poured himself a quick shot and downed it instantly, swallowing his vulnerability. he saw two girls staring at him, whispering softly. he slammed his glass onto the table before walking up to the girls. his height towering over the pair, the girls looked up in fright. 

"what the fuck are you whispering about?" he said lowly.

the girls stared in fear before turning and walking away quickly. nate chuckled and shook his head, looking up at everyone around him, who were now fully staring at him. "what the fuck are you guys looking at, huh?" he shouted, looking around. the crowd went silent, the booming of the music filling the silence of the room. "so no one wants to speak up?" nate said, raising his eyebrows, looking around. mckay emerged from the crowd and walked up to nate in a panic. he leaned up to him and said lowly. "bro, i think you need to come out back." mckay said, looking out the kitchen window. "why? what the fuck is going on?" nate asked. 

"yo dude, your girl is getting fucked in the pool!" a random guy yelled from the crowd. 

nate's head snapped up quickly as he walked over to the back door, and sure enough there was maddy, in the pool, indeed having sex with a random guy. "no fucking way." nate said lowly, as he slid the door open forcefully. "nate...nate!" mckay called out, but nate was already at the side of the pool along with the many other people who were watching the crazy shit that was about to go down.

"yeah, that's real classy, you fuckin' whore." nate yelled, watching maddy. his body was boiling with vulnerability, which was then replaced with anger, because that's the only emotion he knew how to truly express.

"suck my dick." maddy smirked, leaning in to kiss her beau.

nate's pupils dilated as he watched. he felt like he was looking control, and god knows nate jacobs longs for control. he shook his head and stormed back inside and into the kitchen, following with the sound of glass shattering.

and i think we all know what followed after this...
