Two More Shots

I yelp as I try to pull it back. I punch whoever grabbed me in the face but he still doesn't let go. He hits me in the head and smacks me against the door again. "Get off me!" I yell. My grip around the gun loosens for not even a second, but he is albe to pull it out. He kicks against my kneecaps and I fall to the ground. Before I know it I feel the heavy body of the man on my back, keeping me pinned to the floor. I struggle harder and harder as I see someone cocks the gun being held against Dina's head. Another person helps holding me down. Blood drips from my nose and mouth. "Please stop!" But they stay on top of me. I close my eyes, and a gunshot fires. "No!" I scream. I fight against the people on top of me harder and harder, but stop when I hear two more shots. The people on top of me get numb and I'm able to push them off. They roll to the side, some broken glass screeching under their weight. One last shot and the man that killed...that killed Dina is dead too. My eyes stay fixed on Dina's limp body. Blood spreads around her head as it flows out of the wound. Her eyes are staring back at me. "Ellie." Someone pulls me up at my arms. "Ellie, look at me. We have to get out of here." She swings my arm around her shoulder and pulls me up further. "No..." I say as I try to pull away. "Dina..." I'm pulled forwards, through the doors and up the stairs. "Stay close to me." For the first time I look at the girl that carried me out. "Y/N?" I touch her face and smile. "You bet." She says as she leans me down against a wooden crate. "Coast seems clear, come on." Y/N hoists me up again and walks me down a small flight of stairs. She carries me to the left, behind the building so no one will see us. "Fuck!" She suddenly says as she sits me down behind a small wall. She takes out a gun and leans around the wall. A shot fires. Y/N pulls her head back just in time. The bullet hits the wall, making small pieces blast off. She fires back and  moves forward to a small container. I want to get up, but before I can do so   Y/N tells me not to. I don't have a gun to protect myself, and the only other option is killing people right now. "Fuck!" I hear from a few yards away. I peek around the wall and see that Y/N's gun is empty. She hits it against the palm of her hand before throwing it at the last man standing. She throws it so hard that the man falls to the ground.  Y/N quickly takes out her knive, leaps to the man and slices his throat. She stays bowed over him for a second, breathing heavy, before turning and coming back to me. Her already dirty shirt is now splashed with blood splatters and some dirt. I smile at her as she helps me up again. "Thank you." I breathe out. "Thank me when we get out of here." She says.

"That's the way out." Y/N says as she point at a gate. After the slicing excident no one found us, luckily. "Where is everyone?" I ask studying the empty square around the gate. "Meeting?" Y/N suggests. "Let's hope so." Y/N takes my hand and pulls me forward. She leads me through a small space that ends at the side of the gate. She scans the square once more, looks at me, nods and goes for it. I follow after her as fast as I can, keeping my head low. When we get to the gate, Y/N carefully opens it and slides through it. I do the same and when I'm out I close the gate, pulling at it so carefully that no one could've heard it. Y/N is already a few feet away from me when I turn to her. She smiles and motions me to follow her. After running and then walking for about 10 minutes, we find our horses. I slump down against the tree the horses are tied to and rest my head in my hands. The blood from my nose has dried up and is still sticking to my upper lip. Y/N sits down next to me and takes my hand. "Come here." She says as she pulls me close and cradles my head as I rest it on her shoulder. "I've got you." She kisses the top of my head and squeezes my hand. She let's go of that hand and wraps her arm around my shoulder. I take a deep breath in and sniff. "Thank you." I say as I settle in closer against her body.
