Issac

This morning, I woke up with a massive headache. The reason for it I didn't know but honestly at this point, everything I have been feeling has been blending together.

Leiana and I have fallen into a routine; wake up, train, eat, study, sleep. I feel like we are slowly drifting away from our relationship and more into professionalism. Leiana has been acting distant towards me lately, going to bed after me and getting up before me, never acknowledging me more than a "hello" or a quick kiss and hug. Nevertheless I bite my tongue and continue with the routine.

This day was unlike the rest though, my head continued to pound as I got ready to meet Leiana in our usual spot. I walked out, the brisk sea air hitting my face, I don't think I'll ever get used to that. I made my way slowly up the hill, seeing her in the distance. She was sitting on the ledge of the hill, looking off into the shoreline.

I was about to come up behind her when she interrupted my thoughts.

"Good morning sleepy head, I thought you were dead in there" She said, I could hear the smirk in her voice.

"Okay well give me a break this time, I have a major headache" I replied, rubbing my head for dramatic effect.

There was a long pause on her end, like she was overthinking about something.

"Well..we should get training now before your headache gets worse" She said, avoiding my dilemma and standing up to face me.

I smiled awkwardly while grabbing my staff, my headache already getting worse but I kept my mouth shut and got into position.

After a couple of hours of training, I retreated back to our quarters to try and sleep away my headache. I made up some excuse to Leiana, leaving her to study by herself. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Everything around me felt cold..yet inviting. There were concrete walls surrounding me, a strong  scent inhabited my nostrils that I couldn't place. Even though this place wasn't known to me, I felt safe here.

Suddenly a loud, commanding voice bounced off the walls, who the fuck was here with me?

"Hello Issac, I've been waiting for you" The voice said, sending shivers down my spine

"W-who are you?"

"I'm your worst nightmare my dear apprentice, but you need me"

"You are fucking insane, I don't need you. I'm not your apprentice" I replied, starting to shake with anger, this guy was starting to get to me.

"Not yet Issac, just wait..your first assignment will come soon"

"What does that mean?" I questioned, standing up and looking around the room for the source of this voice.

"You'll find out soon, now wake up"

I woke up, panting and shivers running down my spine, yet my headache was gone. What did he mean when he said I would have an assignment soon? Who the fuck was that?

and why was I not scared of him?

Thanks for reading (this very short chapter) my loves!!

I'm sorry that there has been radio silence from me, my life has been crazy lately! Weirdly this pandemic and self isolation has given the time and inspo to write again, so you can actually expect updates! WOOP WOOP!

Seriously though, I hope everyone is being safe by staying inside and practicing social distancing! At least we have reading and writing to keep us busy for now!

Stay safe my loves, remember to vote and comment!
