Chapter 11: Beach Fun

SCARLET's POV

Mom and I were just passing through the doors with the guards watching us. A group of girls kept staring at us and some were just amazed. Why? What happened while I was gone? The guards did not harm them at all but I noticed how they tried to send them back to their parents. They are still young so it is understandable.

I looked at mom and smiled as she looks at the huge entrance amazed. I giggled as I let her explore a little even if it was like five steps away from me but I don't want to lose her out of my sight. She is still hurt so I don't want to strain her more than expected. I noticed a few unknown people in front of me. All guards and I felt a bit panicked. What happened?

Then I noticed Kaito barking some type of orders. They were weird and all guards obeyed it. I walked to mom just to be sure she doesn't get scared. She felt so confused to why every guard was acting that way. Kaito noticed me and he looks so happy with glowing eyes. It terrifies me how happy he looks but I can feel the anger radiating off of him in waves. 

He jogs towards me and mom hides behind me. I looked up to him and I just felt the need to search for Sasuke all around the castle to check what is he hiding. If Kaito is acting like this is because Sasuke told him to distract us. Why? Is he doing something he is not suppose to do? What is going on here? I cross my arms at Kaito and he just laughs a little. 

"Scarlet... Sasuke told me to take you and your lovely mother for a picnic at the beach" Kaito tells me with a giant smile on his face 

"Oh really and is he not coming with us?" I asked as politely as I can

"No I do apologize but he is in a reunion with his father right know and is unable to leave until all problems are resolved" Kaito tells me very serious as he looks up to the main office 

My heart twist and turn as I must have thought wrong so I looked down sadly and asked gently "Alright then... When do we start heading towards the beach Kaito?"

"The maids are already placing all the food into the carriage... I am taking many guards with me as well as Nana is coming with us just for in case anything happens..." Kaito explains gently as he starts smiling again 

I smiled in return as I headed towards the carriage area and mom is looking very much afraid and she looks around. Up and down as she notices all the marbled floor. The rock ceiling and the walls with beautiful paintings. I smiled at her and reassured her about everything around us. She smiled widely as she noticed the maids passing me by and bowing down to me. Bid me a good day some vampire children running around.

A girl far away crying as these boys had her doll and Sasuke taught me a few things and I was able to snatch the doll away from their hands. I felt such glee as they looked at me and bowed their little heads to me. Then they ran off laughing and so I laughed a little as well. I walked to the little girl as she looks up at me with teary eyes. 

She sniffles a little as she wipes her nose but snot still coming out of her nose. I bend down a little and handed her the doll. She slowly extends her hands towards the doll as she is very afraid. Her eyes flashed red. I can't do anything as to feel intrigued by it but she snatches the doll quickly and I end up smiling at her. 

"Go with your mommy ok... I wouldn't want you getting lost here in this big castle" I tell the young one with a giant smile 

"Thank you miss..." she says with such innocents 

"It is ok... Just be careful ok..." I tell her as I stand straight 

"Ok..." she says with a gentle giggle 

I looked at my mother and say with a giant smile "Let's go mom... Before Kaito starts panicking"

"Kaito?" she says confused
