Chapter 15: Shock to the Core

SCARLET's POV

We were able to sooth down the situation with the Werewolves and Vampires. I had to lead the way to the basement where I secretly went every night when I have the chance to take food water and clean clothes. Sometimes when Sasuke wasn't here I would go there earlier. Nina would go as well but she kept it a secret. 

Nina always has my back when it came to secrets and so the moment I opened the door it was a huge room. It looks like apartments. I smiled as everyone must still be resting. Nina had helped me turn this into a type of rooms. A gentle hotel of sort. I smiled as I gently knocked on the door I hear the giggle of the kids. 

Kids? The door opens to reveal two kids and they smiled at me with a wide smile. Behind them one of the injured wolves. She slowly stood up as she did her best to walk to the door. I had rushed in to help her. She had smiled at me as she tells me a gentle good morning. I responded with a gentle good afternoon. It only made her laugh for a bit. 

The creek of the door made her look up towards the door. Her eyes wide open at the sight of all the men behind me. All Alpha's were there looking at the injured woman. She still has a bandaged leg being that it was almost caught of. There are like ten made up bed rooms in here so I did my best to help each and everyone in here as much as I could. But they feel so embarrassed and so hurt. They feel so guilty. 

I think they might think I betrayed them but the woman starts to tear up as she falls on her knees. Dragging me with her. I wouldn't let her go so is normal for me. The big Alpha I think his name was Keenan rushes forward worriedly. 

But froze when she spoke "I am so sorry Alpha... I failed you..." 

"You never failed me Fionna... We were worried about you" the Alpha told her worriedly 

"Check each room to all your pack mates and when checked do please apologize to Sasuke please... He had not known none of this" I told them as I did my best not to get angry at them 

I have been holding back my anger so far as they had tried to kidnap me in plain view. But maybe they didn't expect that and kidnapping me is over the top. I sighed out and just left them all alone to let them speak together in private. I walked out of there as other wolves had rushed down to go see their pack members. I saw Sasuke with arms crossed and is looking very much angry. 

I placed my hands behind my back as I just walked towards him with my eyes to the ground. He looks very angry at me today and I can understand in some level. But he can't be angry at me for something that I chose to to ad he had given me this opportunity to do my own things many times. I looked up at him as he looks my way angrily. I sighed out and I already knew what I had done did is not approved by him. 

I felt a bit scared so I speak the moment I get close to him "Am sorry for not telling you..."

"Yeah look what a sorry did... Look what helping did..." he snaps at me and I tensed up 

My blood running cold and I snapped at him "What should have I done? Leave them to die!"

"Tell me... I would have communicated with their respective Alpha's" he snaps at me again

I glared up to him and say angrily "Oh so I will scream out your name about an injured wolf still breathing with hunters killing all that moves... Then tell you lets help them heal before they go home..." 

"I wouldn't accept it... Wolves live their own lives and we are not apart of it" I looked at him surprised 

"I just wanted to help them..." I whispered out calmly 

"Are you stupid or something..." surprised at what he had called me and I looked up to him as he continued speaking "... Wolves are not to be helped... Nevertheless a weak human..."

I don't know why but tears had started to stream down my eyes and he opened his eyes as wide as saucers. He started to panic a little and when he tried touching my face I slapped it away.My whole body burned and boiled with anger. All I could do was cry out. Why did he do that? Why did he say that? I know am a weak human. I know I am not strong. But I want to help. They needed my help. 

I gave them as much help as I could. I clenched my teeth as I ferociously tried to wipe all the tears away but it didn't work. I heard him whisper my name and I felt his hand start to get near me. I shut my eyes tightly as I take a step back. 

"D-Don't touch me..." I whispered lowly as my throat twist and turn 

I hugged my shoulders as he spoke "Love please am so..."

"Leave me alone... You have said enough..." I say to him lowly as I did my best not to scream at him 

He had gotten close to me and holds my hand quickly but I snatched it back "Love... I didn't mean it... I was just angry..."

"Angry or not... You now your limits..." I snap at him 

"Please... Am sorry..." he tried again 

"The lady has specifically told you to back off..." my eyes snapped open to the man beside me 

In his grip was Sasuke's wrist and he snatches it back "This those not involve you Beta... This is between me and my lover..."

"She does not want to speak or see you... Females declare their anger that way or are you blinded by power" the wolf is protecting me from Sasuke and Nina had come to my side as she checks on me

Kaito had stood next to Sasuke trying to calm him down "I don't want any mutt near her... She has dealt with your kind way too much"

"I do apologize for that but I am not here to fight... I came to thank but seeing how afraid and angry she is... She helped my kind... I am here to help her..." the Beta said as he took a challenging step forward

Vampires and wolves had rushed in as these two started fighting. Fist fights. Not weird battling to the death thing. I stared at both of them as the vampires and wolves were sent flying back from each punch of them. I looked at him strangle the poor wolf and my whole body froze. 

'No...' I stood up and I had grabbed his arm while saying "PUT HIM DOWN SASUKE!"

His elbow connected with my nose and I fell back. Everything spinned and I had covered my nose as thick blood started to ooze down. I heard something loud and hard connect with skin. A slap? Then a hard thump as I felt completely confused I opened my eyes. Nina had slapped Sasuke hard in his face. Tears streamed down my eyes by instinct as my nose hurt a lot know. Kaito had rushed to me with a napkin in hands as he tried to stop the blood. 

"You have done enough..." I heard Nina's voice as she was completely angry and venom escaped her mouth

I can't believe this. How could he?
