Chara thought to herself with her mother back in the picture a meteor shower was inevitable to occur. Whilst this was happening Phillip lived on in ignorant bliss.
Who could blame him for he thought that his wife's presence at home would bestow a light upon his daughter, so she could be happier yet it was the opposite.
It was like taking a cactus from the desert and giving it out as a present for the babe and saying "Child hug that cactus" the irony.
Who would have thought that her very own mother would suck her dry ,of the hope she had carried in her fragile being, the hope for a brighter future like a thirsty, vicious , beady eyed vampire on a rampage.
A few months passed and Liz was called in for work. Chara thought that a miracle had happened. She felt overjoyed but that was short lived soon you will know why.
Liz commuting to work meant that she was there to stay."At home" I mean for quite sometime. Phillip was happy because that meant he could spend some time with his wife "oh" those naughty thoughts he had been keeping to himself ,now he could make his dreams come true.
The two were barely at home so they hired a nanny . This nanny had a habit of taking what does not belong to her. She was a clever thief who would blame it on the child she was what we call a kleptomaniac a certified one at that.
With the aggression towards the babe ,made apparent by none the other her very own beloved sour mother the nanny took advantage of that.
She would inform the mother that her daughter had stolen her stock. Liz had purchased goods which she would sell in her shop. The way she would hit her child was too left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. This was for messing with her hard earned money she reasoned.
Phillip never saw the violence so he thought everything was well. He religiously bought his daughter chocolates and candy this always was the best part of the day for Chara. Years passed by and he never knew what was taking place in his own household.
As time progressed a day came that Chara questioned her very existence on earth. It was on a sunny day , as it was summer again, her father was at home which meant she could play and laugh with him.
In the midst of all the laughter her mother came to break the mood with vengeful words. She had on a lemon filled face and told Chara that she was ugly and that she was not her mother.
It was not the first time for her to tell Chara that she was ugly but it was the first to hear the words that she was not her biological mother.
Chara cried out a river, her father tried to comfort her, but to no avail for she was thoroughly shattered. She had nothing left , she began to see that maybe her mother was right , because of the treatment she received from her. Maybe she was the evil stepmother she had seen in the movie Cinderella.
Chara went into her room and locked it though her father pleaded her not to. At the same time he shouted that she had been lying about what she had said 。She had never felt so worthless in her very existence until today she cried.
At times she would pray like how she was taught at church and thought that things would change. Her mother would treat her good for 2 minutes. Then the next she would living in a 4D horror movie.
You can imagine that she had to pray before she asked her mother for something even a sweet so that she would receive it, she could never tell her that.
It is appalling to know that she had to go through so much pain at such a tender age.
