Not A Stranger to Pain

Chapter 12

Chara nodded and  walked out of the barn after hours of sitting in silence.She was so spooked by what had happened or what had almost happened to her. She was a bit thankful that he had not fulfilled what he had intended to do.

She was relieved but that relief was short lived.No one seemed to suspect a thing until Chara started having nightmares. She would scream in her sleep , this scream would shake the whole household up.

Her baggy puffy eyes were as a result of many sleepless nights. Liz and Phillip tried to coerce her into talking because they knew she was one for keeping things in. Chara lied to them and told them that James had only touched her butt. How would she really confide to her mother when she was part of her misery.

When they heard this  they called for a family meeting and asked James as to why he ,an 18 year old like him was fondling an 8 year old ,this only resulted in apologies but no police case.

Along with countless meetings they went to the hospital so she could get checked. The doctor assured them that she was still a virgin. Chara felt a bit relieved at the sound of those words,that the doctor didn't find anything wrong with her.

She had been petrified as to what her parents would have said to her most specifically her sharp tongued mother.

The doctor as if sensing that something was wrong asked her if she had anything else she wanted to tell her. She said she could listen but alas Chara didn't want any of that she felt used and dirty enough. She didn't want to tell a soul about what had transpired.

The only relief she got was that her parents didn't question her anymore.

To think that her parents would have learnt from this but no people could still come to their house in their absence.

It so happened that after a year she  had swimming lessons at home. She wanted to be part of the swimming team so her coach came 4 times a week so she could better her skills. Her father had hired a reliable person to coach her. He only wanted the best for her.

Her swimming coach's brother Leonard came to their house . Most times he would accompany his brother to the Rhodes residence,after all they were family friends so the pool was at his disposal. No one had questioned his presence at this estate.

Chara had grown to have an affinity to water, so she spent most of her time in the pool.

On this day her coach didn't come but the brother came and told Chara to come towards him. She refused but he had a way to smooth over things so she listened and swam towards him only to be told to seat on his laps. He said he was teaching her how to swim.

After this she would be more comfortable in the water he said .So she sat on his laps more specifically where his anatomy lay ,he had readjusted her there. She felt weird sensations rippling into her body for an 9 year old she sure didn't know much and she trusted easily.

As time progressed she began to feel more and more uncomfortable  and restless especially when he held onto her tightly groping her tiny frame so that her body would rock back and forth.

He seemed to be pleased because he would hold her tighter than what was thought possible in human existence.
