Phillip called all his friends but still could not find her.
He notified the police that his daughter was missing. After two hours he was called and told that she was at Caroline's house.
He was so happy to find his daughter that he negated scolding her.
He went to the Smith's residence to see his daughter but his daughter was to scared to go and see him.
They had to coax her to come out. They told her that he wouldn't hit her . It took half an hour for her to agree into seeing her father.
He just had to say the password that her mother was not around and indeed she came though she was so frightened.
So he told her she could stay for the night and come home the following day after church.
The following day she was so relieved that Liz was not around.
She gladly went home where she ate and slept in the comfort of her room.
She had personalized the kitchen knife so she slept near it. At times when she felt lonely she would embrace it.
It must have been something psychological because she could not sleep without it being there.
Girls her age played with dolls , she had one called Duncan when she wasn't depressed she would play with him or sew clothes for him.
The kitchen knife seemed to be there for her through thick and thin that's why she preferred it to Duncan.
It seemed to understand her the way no one could ever do.
The fact that she could carry it everywhere she went seemed to make it more appealing.
Even though she had once been isolated at school for carrying it she still did. She couldn't seem to detach herself from the knife. It had made a mark in her heart.
Years seemed to pass so slowly. She was now in high school and was introduced to boarding school.
She was so happy ,finally she had been welcomed to freedom , happiness and there was no one who could ruin her parade.
She only got sick her when her father took her home. Like literally falling sick when she knew that she was going home and that her mother would be at home.
When time came for her to go back to school she would be fine.
It was like she was miraculously healed. She would be so full of life when she was at school or going back to school yet when she was going home she would shrivel like a dried up raisin.
The contrast was so magnificent she often wondered if her father noticed.
She now had the courage to ask her father the question that had been bothering her for a long time.
She would ask him if Liz was her biological mother or stepmother.
Phillip would tell her that she was indeed her biological mother then she would ask him again. "So why does she treat me like so?, they were currently on their father and daughter walk when she asked this.
"Well she loves you" that was the only thing that Phillip could tell her".
"Do you remember when I was in grade 5 she told me that she was not my mother if she was my mother then why did she say so? Asked the inquisitive Chara. She just wanted clarity so she could embrace what ever was the truth.
Phillip was unable to answer or tell why such things happened to her. He knew that their daughter could run away at any moment ,so that's why he now took her for father and daughter bonding and would call her just to check up on her or see if she was at home and had not run away.
Her running away when she was 10 years old had made him scared that now she was older so she could run away and never come back.
