"There he is." Calum pointed to a blond haired boy with a Greenday shirt on running down the hall.Yep, that was Luke. He looked really nervous for some reason. I wondered why.
Apparently, Charlotte's boyfriend Calum was Luke's best friend, and he could set me up with him. Hopefully, anyways. Calum was about a foot taller than me like Luke was, but he was a lot larger. Charlotte said he worked out all the time, which might explain why he had biceps the size of my thighs.
"Luke!" Calum screamed to him. He looked so lost in the sea of people, like he didn't know who we were. Finally he spotted us, and came over through the people.
"Hi.. Sorry. Hi Katie." He smiled politely to me and waved. His cheeks instantly became red. Calum was holding a laugh I could see him trying not to burst.
"So, you do know Katie?" Calum asked him. Luke's eyes wouldn't leave my face, but he slowly nodded. Calum looked from me to him, and I knew what he was thinking. The look ok Luke's face said it all; he had a crush on me. "Luke snap out of it. Me and Charlotte are going to homecoming, so you and Katie should come with us. It'll be fun." Calum smirked at his last sentence, and Luke's face clouded with a horrified expression.
"You mean.. This Friday?" Luke stammered.
"Yes, duh c'mon." Calum laughed, shooting me a he's-so-stupid look. I laughed too, and Luke looked even more embarrassed. Believe it or not, his face became even more red.
"I'd have to see... Maybe though." He added, carefully spinning the lock on his locker. Calum nodded slowly, watching as he opened his locker. "What?" He asked when he looked over too us. Calum held a hand up and shook his head.
"I've got to go, but you two have fun." He winked at me, and I knew exactly what was going on. Charlotte had told him I liked him. Shit.
