A/N: so umm I'm really not sure what this is, it's supposed to be a kind of musical verse with some hints of the book, oh and it's Gelphie. I hope you don't hate it and please review!

There wasn't anything different about that cold December morning. It could be easily confused by any other ordinary morning, the sky was a pale grey, there were no clouds and the air was freezing. There was a light drizzle falling from the sky and you could hear some birds chirping lightly, announcing the beginning of the day. Yet this wasn't any other morning, far from it actually, for this was the morning when it all changed for a certain pair of roommates.

Galinda Upland and Elphaba Thropp woke up every morning at seven forty five sharp. Both for different reasons though, Elphaba because she simply liked waking up early and Galinda because at this time she started getting ready, even though classes started at nine. By this time of the year the two roommates had developed some kind of morning routine. Elphaba would shower while Galinda picked her outfit, then, She would get out of the shower in a towel and Galinda would enter the bathroom and close the door so that Elphaba could change. Then she would get in the shower herself where she would start with her hair treatment, which consisted on the applying of several expensive hair products and finally get out of the shower put her clothes on and start doing her hair and makeup while Elphaba, all ready to go by now, read a book.

This morning however as the green skinned girl was changing while her friend was in the shower, the door of the bathroom slammed open and a furious tiny blonde stormed into the room all wet and with only a towel clasped around her body.

"How many times have I told you, ehh?!"as the blonde spoke Elphaba tried to cover herself up, for she hadn't had time to put on any clothes on and was still on her undergarments " Well I do believe it would be hard to say how many times you have said something, when you haven't told me what this something is don't you think?" Glinda looked at her as with a murderous look in her eyes "How many times have I told you not to use my shampoo? It isn't even for dark hair! And now you used all of it and I can't finish my hair treatment! Do You know what that means? It means I will have a bad hair day! I can't afford to have a bad hair day!"

Elphaba looked sorry for just a fraction of a second, then her face morphed into a wicked grin and she burst out laughing "What are you laughing at Elphie!? It isn't funny! I have a date with Fiyero tonight!" At the mention of Galinda's boyfriend Elphaba stopped laughing and rudely said "Well I'm sorry! I just thought that as there wasn't any of mine either, I could just use yours! I wasn't aware that you couldn't afford to look less than ridiculously perfect for your stupid, superficial, perfect little boyfriend, but I should have known because you are all about looks aren't you?" Galinda looked at her furiously "Don' talk like that about Fiyero!" Elphaba was getting angrier by the minute "I'll talk about that Vinkun airhead however I want! And you know why? Because he doesn't deserve you!" The blonde looked at her with confusion and Elphabas's expression softened " You could do better than him you know?" She said softly, almost apologetically "You are special, you are worth more than any of those friends of yours and you deserve someone better than him". And all of a sudden Galinda pressed her lips against hers. She quickly responded to the kiss, pulling the girl closer and melting into her, until a slap landed on her left cheek "What do you think you are doing" said Galinda. Elphaba was seriously shocked "What are you talking about? You kissed me!" Galinda looked confused and then managed to stutter "B-but yo-you didn't stop me!" "How was I supposed to know you wanted me to stop you?" Now it was Galinda's turn to feel shocked "Well, didn't you want to stop?" She replied, almost afraid of the answer. Elphaba thought of her answer and then said "Who knows? Maybe I didn't".
